Publisher's summary

In the bustling streets of St. Louis, two cousins have a dream: to travel west with a wagon train of supplies and make a fortune in trade. Preacher needs a job and is heading west anyway. But he doesn't bargain on the beautiful woman who sneaks her way into the wagon train and the trouble she brings on board.

Then, before he can wash his hands of the whole bunch, he's suddenly in a fight for his life. Sensing easy prey, outlaws in a lawless land have swooped down on the band of pilgrims already bitterly divided by secrets, passions, and hatred. And for that, they will all answer to Preacher.

Performed by Mort Shelby, David Coyne, Eric Messner, Bobby Aselford, Andy Clemence, Michael Glenn, Cate Torre, James Lewis, Christopher Graybill, Richard Rohan, Scott McCormick, Dylan Lynch, Terence Aselford, Karen Carbone, Ken Jackson, MB Van Dorn.

Showdown (Preacher)

This is another adventure in Preacher's life. He is leading a small group through the mountains. Preacher has to get the Easterners through the mountains plus worry about a couple of guys that's trailing them trying to kill preacher. This is an exciting story with a good storyline. They have merchandise that's worth a lot of money that the outlaws want. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators. (Dramatized). Boring story, unrealistic, plot, great characters though

This story started off great, but it began to not make sense over and over. This has been the problem with some of these books. They start off with the bang or they pick up in the middle or towards the end. This one did neither. It was boring. The concept was great, but it was truly unrealistic. A lot of his books have unrealistic parts and situations, but this one is truly unrealistic and I’ll tell you why.

It’s too far-fetched two men murder a prostitute you’re with you try to get revenge and they conveniently are going after a group that you were traveling with that came to hire you. That’s too much convenience and it’s a waste of good storytelling. You have a young man who states his father is abusing him, and there is no true evidence of this. He doesn’t have any wounds any scars it’s only word-of-mouth and from all we know he could just be getting spankings with this child is taken from his dad and his father is painted as a bad guy to justify this action not only that, but why didn’t the two men rob Mr. Larson when he was bringing the money if they were just looking for somebody to steal from? why didn’t they rob the man who wanted to rob the wagon train or the two brothers before all of this? Why did they steal the goods why they were in town that makes absolutely no sense and also why are the Indians still being treated as if they are absolute morons so you telling me that these brave warriors are dying immediately versus settlers pilgrims who have no experience a little boy escapes in Indian because he bit his hand come on now even though the preacher is amazing as he is in every book the rest of it just does not fit. It just was a waste of a book and nobody should pay for this. They need to redo this one.
