Publisher's summary

Egypt, 1500 BC. Drawn to his abandoned temple on the banks of the Nile by an enchanting song, Sobek the Crocodile God is even more captivated by the sight of the singer herself. Appearing to her as a man, he learns she is Merys, a descendant of his last priestess. Though filled with lust, Sobek believes Merys deserves to be more than just his mistress. But the rules that govern the Egyptian pantheon forbid anything beyond a physical joining of a Great One and a human.

Merys is attracted to the handsome stranger, who arouses passions in her that no man ever has. But with no dowry and no hope of ever leaving her village, she dares not dream of the future—or love.

Sobek takes every opportunity to visit Merys, taxing his resolve to leave her pure. When he saves her life, their mutual desire must be sated. But can a love between a human and an immortal survive the ultimate test of the gods?

Short and sweet

This book is short and to the point, which was actually very refreshing. Perfect short listen. Loved it.

Not what your expecting, happy surprise!!

Where does Priestess of the Nile rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well i am addicted to audio books and have hundreds of titles purchased from audible. I need like a 5 book a week plan!!
Bought this one because it was cheap, and thought it would be a quick listen.

Usually the short books are more on the steamy side, with not much substance, WRONG, if you like fantasy fiction with a little heat and actually want a good story this is one to get and at the price you really cant lose.!

What other book might you compare Priestess of the Nile to and why?

Too many to list, as a female I am like most of you and like to spice things up a bit , but not with all the grunting and swearing, and wam bam the books is over.

This book was not like that at all very romantic story set 2000 years ago on the nile river, had good plot and just enough steam, and a loving hero all the way through!

What about Felicity Munroe’s performance did you like?

The best part about listening to an audio reader is that you forget your being read to, and she delivered. As I have said purchased for the price , but really got more that I paid for. good job!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and i did listen to is all in one sitting while i cleaned house!! that's why I am so addicted! listen to books while I am driving to work, on trips for sure and especially while cleaning!! As long as I have a book I could clean all day!!

Any additional comments?

Just a quick 2.5 hours of romance to add to your day!!

True love can live forever but where?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would hightly recommend this book because it holds your interests from beginning to end.
You will be looking for book two.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sirbrak because he found love by a sound of a song. And the way he handled Merist throughout their relationship to the very end that was no end.

What does Felicity Munroe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

she makes the story come alive. In fact I would get more audiobooks narrated by Felicity Munroe only because of how she adds to the book with her gift of making words come alive. The tone and flavor of a given story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Patience is well rewarded sooner than one may think. This has the making of an excellent movie.

Any additional comments?

I am hoping for a part two to this book or maybe this would turn into a series.
