Publisher's summary
Daughter of two ruthless high-gradient telepaths, Auden Scott is not the child her Psy parents wanted or expected, even before her brain injury. Her thoughts are scattered, her memories fuzzy-or just terrifyingly blank. The only thing she knows for certain is that she must protect her unborn baby...a baby she has no recollection of conceiving and who draws an abnormal intensity of notice from her dead mother's closest associates.
Leopard alpha Remi Denier is a man driven by the primal instinct to protect. Protect his pack, protect his allies... and protect the mysterious woman who has become a most unlikely neighbor. With eerie eyes that see too much and a scent that alters in ways disturbing and impossible, Auden Scott is the enemy...but nothing about this strange Psy is what it seems, Remi's feline heart as fascinated by her as the human half of his soul.
Then Auden asks Remi to help her shatter the wall of secrets that is the Scott bloodline. What they unearth will reveal a nightmare beyond imagination. This time, the battle is to the death...

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Story
It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Missing the wow factor
The plot was interesting, but it won't be one of my favorite books in the series.
I had higher expectations for Remi's story. It wasn't bad, but the fireworks were missing. The slow-burn relationship between Remi and Auden was disappointing. The storyline focused more on Auden's family and medical problems than on her and Remi's relationship. Even the description of the Psy net saving fell flat. It lacked emotion, and that took away its importance. At the end of the book, I felt like Nalini threw some intimate scenes as an afterthought.
I have the odd feeling that Nalini wasn't in tune with the Psy-Changeling universe when she wrote this story.

Repetitive
While I enjoy learning about Remi’s pack, the storyline is a repeat of previous ones in this series.
