Publisher's summary

The goal of this audiobook.

The intention, desire, and hope in writing the Product Team Coach is to assist you in breaking down your barriers to understand what creating and running a product entails. What makes this audiobook unique is that it is purposefully crafted not to ascribe to any one style of Agile or iterative delivery of work, but instead focuses on the outcomes of team collaboration. Let this audiobook help you enter into a clearer understanding of how to turn ideas into living, breathing products.

Who is this audiobook for?

There are three potential listeners who can benefit from this audiobook:

  • People who are completely new or curious about the field of product management, ownership, or leadership.
  • People who are already in the field but want additional understanding and direction for their team and product.
  • Leaders and/or businesses who need a framework that delivers value informed by empowered teams to continuously adjust to business priorities, market needs/awareness/context, with scoped iterations and shared understanding.

It does not matter whether you are an entrepreneur, software engineer, product person, executive, dolphin trainer, entertainer, or in fast food, you will be able to apply these principles in some fashion. Take the parts from this audiobook that works best for you, though a good starting place would be to incorporate it all, and then iterate as needed. The content in this audiobook has been proven to work together cohesively.

A Non-Overwhelming Overview

Jordan’s performance and content here is useful for any professional or technologist. The principals here are relevant at every stage of career or position you find yourself in because even if you are not the product team coach this can be applied to so many different aspects of personal work as well as team work

This book is not just for people in the product industry.

I’m not in the industry of building products— I work in customer service and live/app content but that doesn’t mean that I did not learn from this book. Highly recommended for all professionals.
