So attached to the character in this series

The narrator of the Posadas County Mysteries Rusty Nelson is excellent, he conveys the humor very well, too. Good read !

slow build fast finish

great story line and thrilling chase scene at the end. With the kidnapping of Estelle's son the race is on to solve the case before time runs out.

Western Lawman--Seasoned Justice

Never doubt Gastner & Guzman will get the bad guys. Sleepy Texas counties can have just as much crime as a bigger city. You may just have to look a little harder at your neighbor to see it.

Great story, faulty reading

I will start by saying that I love this writer and have read this entire series many times. I like Rusty Nelson 's voice and think he does a good job differentating the characters. However his mangling of Hispanic names drives me crazy. It seems disrespectful of the editors not to find out how these words are pronounced in New Mexico. These people came here in 1590 with Don Juan de Onate, and their culture is central to the setting of the book.True, many Anglo have moved in, and some of them mangle the Spanish, but everyone here knows how to pronounce Onate, for example. The n is really pronounced as ny. Ohnyatay. And the mispronounciations go on and on. It may seem like a little thing, but it damages Havilland work
