Love Hadley & Midas

Hadley & Midas continue to grow in their relationship. The coven is stepping up their destructive game with Hadley in mind. Reunions of family & friends couldn't come at a worse time when betrayal is becoming apparent. Hadley's emotions get caught up in a wild ride, but yet she fights with everything she's got for those she loves. Love this story!

Who to trust?

The fae and all their derivations are the creepiest bad guys ever because no rules apply to their magic. Slippery enemies

4.25 Stars 🌟

I will admit to taking somewhat of a break between books in this series. It took me a little while to get my brain back into the series, but once I did, it definitely grabbed my attention.

This book has Hadley having to deal with her family coming to visit her in Atlanta from her old hometown of Savannah. It was somewhat of a "reckoning" for her because she had to find a way to make her two lives mesh together.

Honestly though, the thing that probably made the book for me was the fact that we FINALLY see her relationship with Midas progress on a physical level. Though, when you think that THAT is the thing that stands out the most, what does that say about the rest of the book?

We definitely see a progression of the story arc and I did find that my interest was peaked and I wanted to continue onwards to see what was going to happen.

As usual, I alternated between listening and reading. Rebecca Mitchell was the narrator who has narrated the entire series so far, so I did appreciate that consistency. I like the relationships that Hadley has built with her best friends. I am growing to like Remy, I adore Bishop, I LOVE Midas and I like the family that I see being created.

As usual, we learn some things, yet also realize that there are more things that we still don't know. So, I guess that means that I have another book to read.....

Frack

Love the continuation of this story, but the Fracking is a bit overdone. It could’ve been changed up with other words.
Frick, friggen, d@mn etc.
