About this listen

Silver Medal winner of the 2023 Independent Publisher Book Award

Are you ready to master Quantum Physics fast through just four bizarre discoveries, even if you’ve got zero prior experience or training in the subject?

Then keep reading....

In 1965, the great American physicist Richard Feynman famously proclaimed, “I think I can safely say that nobody understands Quantum Mechanics." Is there any wonder why?

Particles that pop in and out of existence....

Spooky action at a distance that travels faster than light....

Infinite universes and branching realities….

Most people, unfortunately, were never taught how wonderful and spectacular quantum physics really and truly is in school....

And the ones who do receive formal training are overwhelmed with advanced mathematics that only makes sense to a fraction of the population....

In this book, we will break through the confusion and reveal to you the most important ideas of quantum physics, told through the amazing true story of just four bizarre discoveries–many of which were made completely by accident!

In Quantum Physics, Into the Light, you’ll discover:

  • How one young physicist accidentally discovered quantum physics with a math trick and changed our entire understanding of light and matter forever.
  • The true secret nature of light (get ready to be extremely confused).
  • How a playful riddle about a dead cat started as a joke but later smashed our entire interpretation of reality forever.
  • How a man you’ve never heard of took us to the brink of a Theory of Everything (and why we’re not there yet).
  • And a whole lot more!

So if you’re ready to master quantum physics fast (and in plain English), buy this audiobook now!

Simple without being simplistic

There's a reason we say stuff ain't quantum physics. Because quantum physics is... well, quantum physics. But in this book, it doesn't feel hard at all. The language make it very accessible. From the big bang, to the mystery of light, you get to understand quantum physics from its heart. This book reminds me of a stand-in science teacher we had in grade 12 who always made learning fun. Even the chapters are named in such a refreshing way!

Interesting Quantum Physics Discoveries!

In this amazing audiobook Quantum Physics, Into the Light, the key concepts of quantum physics are explained through the real-life accounts of four unintentional discoveries. It explains how a young physicist unintentionally discovered quantum physics through a mathematical trick, how a dead cat riddle altered our perception of reality, and why we haven't arrived there yet.

Stoddard's audiobook provides an introduction to quantum physics, breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand language and delving into some of the more bizarre discoveries.

The author's writing style is engaging and easy to follow and listen to making it an enjoyable read for anyone interested in the topic. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to learn more about the subject matter.

A fascinating read from the start to the ending !

The same as many people I'm sure, I have been fascinated with Quantum physics since the first time I heard about it. I have always been more interested with art and music than I was in science and physics, so I never attempted to try and understand it any better. But thanks to this enjoyable book that explains how Quantum physics was accidentally discovered, and the amazing posibilities mankind will soon discover.

Very Informative

Quantum Physics For Beginners is a great audiobook for all ages. The author explains the history of quantum physics and the people that have done the ground work. Chapter 16 tells you how the nuclear bomb come to be. Even me that didn't know a single thing about it. The narrator has done a great job keeping you engaged. It's very easy to follow and understand, Highly Recommend!!!

Mind, blown.

Quantum Physics for beginners is a world of information about the subject. I walked into the book, thinking, oh great. What a complicated subject. How will I understand? John Stoddard did an Amazon job bringing the concept down to my level while still offering key mathematical concepts. This is a must read for anyone who’s curious about the subject.

Bom livro

Gostei da introdução, mas achei as partes sobre multiversos e bomba atômica meio irrelevantes

Significantly Informative!

I wish I had this audiobook while in undergraduate. The concept of physics terrified me and I barley got through the courses. An audiobook such as this would have served as a fantastic resource. The book is simplistic in the description of the subject matter, easy to follow and simply a pleasure to listen to. Highly recommend this audiobook to any aspiring physicist.

Great Quantum Physics Primer

Early on in the book, the author asks. "What is the true nature of the universe?" Anyone who's read Douglas Adams knows the answer to that. 42. All these years later, it turns out the reason why it is 42 is because of quantum physics.
I am not a science major, but I've always been fascinated by physics and curious about quantum physics.
This book provides an easy to understand history lesson on the origins of quantum physics, which is perfect for a beginner like me who is curious and wants to learn more, but doesn't have a science background.
Many probably know the thought experiment known as Schrödinger's cat. (Spoiler alert.) Now I understand what an entangled particle is, and I know that if you have one entangled particle in the box and one outside the box, you can understand what's happening in the box without actually opening it. Cool.
Apparently, I will also now have an easier time understanding the 2nd Dr. Strange movie, once the version of me in this universe gets around to seeing it.
The narrator has a great voice, too.
