An Entertaining Way to Learn French

For anyone who's had some instruction in French, but taken some years off, I think this is a great way to brush up a bit. The music/soundtrack is pleasant. I can't say that I feel it made me remember anything better, but it did give a nice beat to learn by.

if you are an audible learner then this is the way to learn. I loved the jazz in the background which is very soothing

Bravo!

I have Vol 1. and was waiting patiently for Vol 2. Worth the wait. I listen to it on my iPod while I workout at the gym. Music is good.

No Chapter Markers?

I enjoy and will benefit from the content. There are some phrasings in Vol 2 that seem to be in conflict with information from Vol 1. This does cause some confusion to folks like me who are hoping to pick up just enough French to get by for a few days in France.

The addition of chapter markers, as found in Volume 1, would be very helpful to people trying to learn on the go. Trying to move back the begining of a chapter while driving is difficult, if not dangerous, without chapter markers.

It's worth a 4 star!

I am not exactly a beginner of the French language, been nibbling on it for years. still i learned a lot of useful stuff from here. it's compact in situations, such as initial meeting, ordering in restaurant, etc etc so it is helpful. the only thing that detracts from it is the female's French pronunciation. i believe she's French because her english is totally french accented, but her French seems to have a british accent.

Fun language learning

I very much enjoyed listening to this as a part of brushing up my high school French. I'm not sure it would be as useful to a truly beginner language learner. I liked the narrators and the background music.

The slightly bizarre aspect of this installment is that the vocabulary seems to be geared toward flirting with flight attendants, ordering cognac, and picking up someone in a bar.

Sipping on French.

Its like sipping on French after you have listened to it a number of times you soon start to know before hand what is coming next. A pleasing way to learn a language.
