Publisher's summary

Nayna Sharma agreed to an arranged marriage in the hope it would heal the fractures in her beloved family....only to realize too late that a traditional marriage is her personal nightmare. Panicked, she throws caution to the winds, puts on the tiniest dress she can find, and ends up in the arms of a tall, rough-edged hunk of a man who has abs of steel - and whom she manages to mortally insult between one kiss and the next.

Abandoned as a child, then adopted into a loving family, Raj Sen believes in tradition, in continuity. Some might call him stiff and old-fashioned, but he knows what he wants - and it's a life defined by rules....yet he can't stop thinking about the infuriating and sexy woman who kissed him in the moonlight then disappeared. When his parents spring an introduction on him, the last woman he expects is her. Beautiful. Maddening. A rule breaker in the making.

He's all wrong for her. She's all wrong for him. And love is about to make rebels of them both.

Contains mature themes.

Awesome!!!!

Fantastic story of Raj and Nayna...not too Bollywood and accents were not butchered... All the characters developed nicely and the indecision was not dragged out for the sake of story length...

Fell in love with this story

I’m a new avid reader. Every time I start a new book I worry if I will get invested in the characters. I got totally engrossed in them. The experiences the author took us through felt so raw and real. The narrator did an incredible job of putting feeling and life into the characters. I am going to go back and listen to the series again - immediately!!

Only Nalini Singh could write this story -- Wonderful!!

Nalini Singh has created a portrayal so true to life that the reader feels certain they have met each character somewhere before. I find myself rooting hard for the best outcome, arguing out loud with characters for the survival of the best relationship possible, and thrilled with the twists and turns that keep us from ever knowing how it will all work out. Nalini Singh is my hero.

You can never just put one of Singh's books down.

Singh's books are always a treasure, and this book doesn't disappoint. O'Keef just puts the shine to it with her narrations.

Loved that both characters were virgins

I loved this book. I learned the ins and outs of a new culture. I understand this is personal to the author as she is of Indian descent.
Some of the reviews were negative, saying there were too many names or they didn't like the family dynamics. I did not struggle with either and was super engaged throughout the entire book.
The oldest sister frustrated me beyond anything, but in the end, I got the HEA I was after, so it was worth the buy!

A very international romance

I enjoyed this book better than the first one, thou it was really hard for this American to keep straight all the Indian names. Based in Auckland, New Zealand all the characters except one couple were Indian. There were lots of unfamiliar things mentioned like customs, clothes, food which to me took away from the story some, but the basic love story underneath & unique characters are the Nalini Singh I’ve loved reading thru all her other series.

Sweet Indian Spice

How wonderfully sweet. We all deserve a Raj. It’s interesting to see these characters through the traditional Indian and Modern Worlds Nayna and Raj are trying to function in.
As a bonus, we get Isa and Sailor’s wedding in this story, along with Nayna and Raj’s wedding.
Keef does a good job of narration.
Recommend.

Credit well spent!

Just finished this audiobook and I love, love, loved it. I was disappointed by Cherished Hard which gave me second thoughts about this series, but Cherish Hard did set the stage for Nayna and Raj's story. I had an unused credit available at Audible and decided to use it on this title. Credit well spent!

This book read like all my favorite Bollywood movies rolled into one. All that was missing was the music and dancing. Can't imagine what or who the next book will be about but I'd like to hear more about Madhuri and Sundat or Kormal and Naveen.
