Great 3rd book!

Hated to see the story end! There were a few times I wish I could have reached through the book and smack someone, lol but that is to be expected with these types of books. I was given the first book in the series but purchased the second and this book after listening to the first book as I really enjoyed it and I was not disappointed. The narration was great and I was drawn in within the first chapter. Great purchase

Good but the series should be read in order

I chose to listen to this audiobook after receiving a free copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Recombined is the third book in the Irrevocable series. It starts where Retained left off. After things have gone crazy in the world and it seems like they’re entering a new Ice Age, Bailey and Caleb have returned to the Ranch. They become active members of the community and they all have to band together to fight a neighboring town, Pouty, who have taken animals and people including Bailey’s brothers.

Recombined has more action and surprises than the first two book combined. The characters are realistic and some of their decisions would be questioned in our world but these people have to be able to survive and keep their community safe.

Sarah Jacobey is a good storyteller and this was a quick and easy read (or listen). The one thing throughout the series that bothered me was the use of “the girl” in place of Bailey’s name or the pronoun “she.” It made the story seem impersonal. The narrator, Sarah Rogers, did a good job enunciating and made it easy to listen to Recombined. She narrated the whole series and that continuity is nice.

I recommend the Irrevocable series for anyone who likes young adult post-apocalyptic stories but I wouldn’t recommend reading Recombined without reading the first two books first.

Another wonderful book

Another wonderful performance from a narrator and another wonderful book from the author. Hand-in-hand these two make one amazing combination. Captivating, intriguing, and all around amazing.

Stalkhome syndrome?

So in this one Caleb is a dbag, she somehow turns being raped whenever Caleb wants and living in an abusive compound into a happy place. I liked the other books but unless a woman has brain damage she isnt happy being a slave. Its one thing to have characters who like it rough, its a whole other thing to say a woman/girl would want this. I get doing what you have to, to get through a bad situation but thats not even what she does. You gave to listen to it to understand but i dont recommend this.
