Robert Ervin Howard, born January 22, 1906, was an American pulp fiction writer best known for his Conan the Barbarian series, as well as being the father of the Sword and Sorcery fiction subgenre. Despite writing about far-off, exotic lands, Howard spent most of his life in the town of Cross Plains, Texas. He died there in June 11, 1936, aged 30, leaving a body of work that would become one of the most significant in sci-fi and fantasy literature.

So much a story in so little words

The story is as rich in substance as any and displayed with the wholeness of experience that is reminiscent of battles of the caliber of such as Helms Deep. Really remarkable for such a short run time.

Narration was absolutely top notch, which is something I often find rather lacking on this platform. I found the first person voices to be both fitting of the characters and with just the right amount of spice, and the third person to be bold yet steady and composed.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
