About this listen

Minutes after being drawn into the Monsters, Maces and Magic world as their characters, the unsuspecting players fell under attack. Kim, having become the warrior monk Byeol, didn’t survive, thanks to a rampaging ogre. But the party’s quest to obtain a Revive the Dead Spell for Kim proved futile. Fortunately, rather than departing, her soul entered the party’s vacant soul gem.

Such enchanted gems are rare and valuable. Somehow word of the party’s treasure has reached Black Venom, leader of the local thieves’ guild. He offers the party a deal they can’t refuse: They get Byeol back, he gets their vacant soul gem.

If only it was that easy.

Nothing of consequence in the Monsters, Maces and Magic world is ever safe. Or easy.

Just keeps getting better

Oh, my fellow adventurers and tale-seekers, gather 'round and lend me your ears, for I've just returned from a most riveting journey through the realms of "Monsters, Maces and Magic"! Book 7, titled "Revived," is an auditory masterpiece spun by the wondrous Terry W. Ervin II and brought to life by the enchanting voice of Jonathan Waters. And let me tell you, my heart races like a rabbit on Midsummer's morning just thinking about the rollercoaster of thrills that awaited within those magical audiobook pages!

From the very first syllable, I was whisked away into a world teeming with ogres, soul gems, and guilds of cunning thieves! Imagine this: brave souls who became their very characters, and in the blink of an eye, were faced with an onslaught of danger. One, a warrior monk named Byeol, faced her end at the hands of an unruly ogre, only to see her spirit seek refuge within an enchanted gem – a gem so sought after that even Black Venom, the dastardly leader of the local thieves' guild, desired it with all his wicked might.

And oh, dear readers, let me not forget to mention the character development! If you've walked this path of adventure through the previous tomes, you'll be grinning like a mischievous pixie to see how our party has grown. The depths of their personalities are plumbed like the deepest mines, revealing facets both brave and bewildering. Our brave companions are entangled in a web of intrigue and politics, weaving a tapestry of alliances and rivalries that would make a spider envious. The NPCs, not all as pure as a freshly baked pie, add layers of complexity that'll keep you guessing faster than a gnome in a riddle contest!

If you've followed the series thus far, "Revived" shall be the crown jewel of your collection. The storytelling is as finely crafted as a halfling's pie crust, leaving you salivating for more with each twist and turn. And friends, let me tell you, Jonathan Waters' narration is as delightful as a sip of elderberry wine, painting vivid landscapes of danger and delight within the confines of your mind.

With bated breath and pounding heart, I eagerly anticipate what the future holds for our intrepid adventurers. For "Revived" has left me yearning for more like a magpie yearns for shiny trinkets. Terry W. Ervin II, you've conjured a tale that will forever resonate in the chambers of my adventurous heart. So, gather your provisions and ready your imagination, for the world of "Monsters, Maces and Magic" beckons, and it's a journey you shan't want to miss!

The next title in the series will make or brake it.

Hopefully this series doesn’t turn woke with the return of the warrior monk. If so, it will ruin a good start to possibly the best of the series in the litRPG genre.

There seems to be an Unknown DM running the game, Evil Sort!

This is a LitRPG story played on a game call Monsters Mase, and Magic. In this book we have ordinary people in college playing a DMG game so they can each write a dissertations about different aspects of life. They somehow become actually part of the game as the characters they wrote down and described in start up. Now need answers and coin to get out of the game which seems intended to play as a lark. The Narrator does a Wounderful job with the various characters voices and entire storyline.

I am sad to see this series die. Unfortunately the author or Amazon pressured to destroy the book.
