Publisher's summary
One bachelor is love-shy. One is unrequited. One is much-loved. One is blindsided.
Argent Mettlebright knows how to keep a secret safe, but it's only a matter of time before someone notices that Hisoka Twineshaft has disappeared from the political arena. With tensions on the rise, the world needs his leadership more than ever.
Nobody wants to help Sensei more than Isla Ward, but his door is barred against her. Right, then. She has a plan, and she has a co-writer. Maybe with their next book, her hopes will finally reach her mentor.
With spring's arrival, Stately House's enclave stands ready to welcome a Scattering. The estate has never been more secure, but Tsumiko wouldn't call the resulting sanctuary peaceful. Too many battered souls. Too many wistful glances. But with the help of a dragon bard's lullabies and an impish crosser's confidence, she leads her ever-growing family.
Seeds to plant. Imps to hatch. Winds to change. Rogues to lure. Hearts to win. Vows to keep. Lives to share.

Story
By night, they fight in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse. By day, they are friendly next-door neighbors. Neither of them know that their alter egos are archenemies. I’ve spent my life training in the family business of slaying vampires, but I’m tired of all the death. I want to prove we slayers can help society, not just break it. I start my new life by joining the Magiford supernatural task force, which exists to protect humans and supernaturals from harmful magic.

Story
Galleries of Stone introduces a world where magical mountains are entrusted to master sculptors like Freydolf. Necessity drives this recluse from the Statuary to find a new servant. The villagers thereabouts fear him, but when people are poor, and homes are crowded, all it takes is a handful of coins to loosen family ties. Tupper Meadowsweet isn’t the cleverest child, but he’s brave enough to follow Freydolf onto the gray mountain, where the Statuary’s living masterpieces hint at faraway lands, diverse races, unique customs, long histories, and danger.

As such, she's unceremoniously shooed from her kingdom to go eliminate the all-powerful Dark Lord next door. Keith Monfort has never enjoyed ruling with an iron fist. Only those of us with a different kind of blood are spared the killing blow of Dawn. With the dead walking and eating their way across the lands, I fight every day to stay alive. I'm fae and trapped here on Earth after a vacation gone wrong, wandering this doomed realm with only a virtual pet for company.

Really good wrap up
This story is a good wrap up of the primary Amaranthine series. I can’t say it’s a standalone- it really should be enjoyed in order.
Characters are matched up in pairs and mini clans. Ginkgo was a really sweet surprise (refer to Mikoto). Evildoers are caught to the great relief of all. Integration of the Amaranthine has progressed significantly, especially in the U.S.
And Stately House continues to experience change and growth. It’s lovely that the series ends with Tsumiko and Argent, as it started with them.
Baldree became the voice of the series even though I couldn’t visualize it at the start.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
