Publisher's summary

While on vacation in London, Sikander Aziz gets his hands on the mythic tablet of destinies. Naturally Sik uses it to get his brother Mo back among the living. His wish is granted, but at a terrible cost. Sik’s troubles multiply a billionfold when the tablet is stolen by the elder god of insanity, Lugal, who brings back Tiamat, the great chaos dragon and mother of all monsters. Nothing less than the fate of the world is at stake when a Muslim boy takes on the ancient gods of Mesopotamia in this action thriller by a master storyteller.

Sik is the everyday hero we all want!

Honestly the 2nd installment in the city of plague god series was honestly just bad ass actions with characters who are just to die for. Honestly my favorite character was rabisu—the demon that accompanies Sik on his adventures.

Beyond the characters, the story engulfs you in the thrill of Mesopotamia mythology and how it relates to the real world we live in. Honestly it has become one of my favorite mythologies!

Must read!!

Really Loving the Sik books and the ways they entwine familiarity, learning, conscience, and struggle both inner and outer. Great characters that both my kids and I enjoy!
