About this listen

Following the end of the world, a hero discovers new opportunities—and dangers—await him, in this action-packed LitRPG adventure for fans of Squid Game.

Ever since the apocalypse interrupted his vacation in New York City, life hasn't been the same for Jason Lee. One moment he was a tourist in Times Square, and the next he was living in a real-life, live-streamed role-playing game, fighting for survival—and the fate of humanity.

Now, gifted with godlike power and abilities, Jason races through rifts, battling monsters and finding treasure, all with a live—and very vocal—audience watching his every move. It's a lot to process. But he's not the only one struggling to adjust to this strange new world . . .

When he returns to New York, Jason finds a city working to rebuild itself. He also meets Mr. Wang, an enigmatic entrepreneur who proposes a business partnership putting Jason's skills as a hero to work clearing out dungeons that have appeared in some rather inconvenient places.

If it's Jason's destiny to combat evil, he might as well get handsomely paid, right?

To have story or A dungeon crawl

This one on, like the first one doesn't have as much story. It's more concentrated on the fights, so hopefully the next one will be better with more story. But it is, If you Like fights and duncing crawls. This is the book for you. Ask the adding of this new character. Who's the veterinarian? Is really good and hopefully she will be in the mix, as well as those who she's helping

Great story.

I loved this series. It was fast paced and very entertaining. It kept me listening. Loved the characters. The story was well written and kept me engaged through out. As always Todd Haberkorn's work was an A+. He really brings the whole story to love. I just love his dedication to give each character their own voice. He really brings the story to life.

Great book!

I absolutely love the story! But a few things confuse me like what isn’t he taming more monsters to get a wider variety and what is the bs deal that he makes with the fixer guy to where the fixer and ally make more money off that billion then he does when he’s mostly doing ALL the work and the people are paying him to do so???

Good story but flawed

I like the overall story but the fact that the author seemingly forgot about several weapons and abilities, ie the shadow dagger having the ability to be called back and the bifrost shield. Several times theain character complains about throwing his daggers and being left without them even though the ability to call the shadow dagger back was used extensively in the first book and there is no mention of the dagger ever losing that ability. It's a bit annoying to hear the struggles of throwing or dropping the shadow dagger while knowing it has the recall enchantment.

Bruh what is happening

Bruh I feel like the people in his chat at times, but my biggest problems are:
Shadow Dagger can return to you like Thor's Hammer you don't have to physically retrieve it

You have a mount no need for other transportation

Duel Lvl Bjorn for crying out loud remember you freaking abilities he does use or remember half of them

I understand wanting to get fit so you can keep up with your summons but buddy you barely pay attention to half of them or their abilities.

you have a horse, Wolf, gaint Squirrel, insect man, Phoenix and you only use the ones with wings mostly and barely using Bjorn now.

This Volume actually disappointed me alot. I'll think about get the next one
but my hopes aren't high.
