Publisher's summary

Ash Donovan has lived for seven years in a fallen world with no memory of her prior life. When she was just eight years old, an unexplained virus killed off most of humanity. Those left behind became mindless flesh-eating creatures. Only a handful of survivors remained. This is the only world Ash has known. As her memories slowly resurface, she realizes that she can no longer hide the secret she has been carrying for so long.

A very promising new entry into apocalypse media.

Rising Ash is another entry into the world of zombie outbreaks, though with a different lens. The story moves quickly and with a lot to say in its short runtime. It's definitely a book you could read through in an afternoon and feel satisfied and looking for more. Thankfully, with a sequel already existing in paper, there is the option for additional content. The only downsides of this title are the narrator. While she does a good job, her pacing and narration are very quick with little pauses or breaks to separate scene transitions and dialogue changes.

Overall, I would recommend anyone who is a fan of thr apocalypse genre to give this one a try.
