If Brad Jersak's Can You Hear Me? primed your heart for listening prayer, this 40-day spiritual exercise will help make it a lifestyle. Walk with Eden and Brad Jersak as you present God with 40 life-changing questions and receive God's answers. These encounters will lead you to new depths of hearing God's voice and seeing God's face.
Rivers From Eden is designed to help listeners make "listening prayer" a lifestyle. It models an approach to prayer in which your time spent with God becomes an intimate, interactive meeting.
The premise, laid out in detail in Can You Hear Me?, is that all of God's children can learn to hear his voice (Job. 33:14, John 10:27) and see his face (Heb. 12:2, 2 Cor. 4:6).
When the eyes and ears of your heart are opened, prayer becomes a real meeting with a living friend.

There is no question that the reader has found personal benefit from being involved in this production. You can hear it. Yes, she has a pleasant speaking voice with clear enunciation and appropriate cadencing, but there is that indefinable 'something more' which indicates personalization.
I gained much from this gift

Where does Rivers from Eden rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It ranks high because I enjoyed the content and the narrator's voice. The narrator's voice is the deciding factor for me. Even if it's a book I want to read, if the voice is horrible, I won't listen or just get the physical copy.Which scene was your favorite?
The scene about the heart and God backing up the machine to dig up what was there. It was such a great analogy.Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed the book and the visuals that the authors gave to describe each conversation made it easy to understand. I found the narration clean, crisp, and clear. Her voice was soothing and the story telling voice made the book more enjoyable.Great Book, Easy to Visualize

What made the experience of listening to Rivers from Eden the most enjoyable?
This book shares a new (to me?) look at prayer, teaching the reader to ask questions during prayer! Brad Jersak offers a way to using prayer as a conversation with The Lord. He offers questions that the reader might use to open the door to intimacy and understanding with Him.What did you like best about this story?
This story really helped me open my mind towards a new way to communicate with God.Have you listened to any of Kathy Poelker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
As always Kathy Poelker gives a great performance. She possesses a great speaking rhythm that is easy to follow and understand. Her enunciation is perfect! I look forward to more audiobooks narrated by Ms. Poelker. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If you could sum up Rivers from Eden in three words, what would they be?
Impacting, life-changing, assuringWho was your favorite character and why?
This life-changing little book has only two voices included - the voice of Eden and the voice of God. I love the words expressed by Eden, but, of course, my favorite voice is that of God. His answers to my daily conversations with Him, and my directed questions to Him, were warm and brilliant and all I would believe God to be and say to me through my walk with Christ each day. I could hear the voice of God clearly reflected in each day's thoughtful meditations. I loved this work very much because it left its imprint on me from Day 1 through Day 40. I find myself still pondering each question and intimate conversation I have had with God as a result of this book, and I can hear Him so much more clearly now. Listening prayer is a beautiful experience for any Believer....one that will bring you into a more intimate relationship with God.What does Kathy Poelker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I, Kathy Poelker, am writing this review because I hope this devotional will impact countless lives along its way as it has for me. The Jersaks, as the authors of Rivers, presented God in a loving and personal way. I feel so blessed to have been chosen to narrate this work and I pray that those who meet "Rivers" will experience what I did as I went through each of the Days and their questions to God. It was a beautiful experience for me, and one that has remained with me since. I hope this book will minister to you in your walk with Christ, and help you hear God more clearly each day. He's always with us...have faith!Learn to Hear the Voice of God Each Day
