About this listen

Unscripted Love: Kyle Vaughn had three goals in life: Become a vet, find the man of his dreams, and start a family. Chaz Hamilton took a leap of faith when he decided to pursue a career in writing, but one best seller didn't mean he could quit his day job. One magical kiss beneath fireworks and stars changed everything. Kyle and Chaz learn that the best-laid plans often go awry, the heart has a mind of its own, and the greatest love is unscripted.

Someone to Call My Own: Psychic Emory Jackson and former black-ops specialist Jonathon Silver are men from two completely different worlds with one thing in common: heartbreak. Sparks fly when mutual friends introduce them, but it's so much more than basic attraction. Maybe these broken men with their jagged edges could somehow align perfectly to form something whole and beautiful. But will that realization come too late for them?

Nobody's Prince Charming: Darren McCoy and Wren Davison are two opposites that shouldn't mix well. Dare believes in fairy tales, true love, and happily ever after. Wren believes in fast cars, freedom, and no-strings sex. What can these two men possibly have in common? Passions ignite once the men stop fighting their attraction, but will it be enough to overcome their differences?

Contains mature themes.

Okay then... Yes!

I wasn't sure about getting through the first book in Blissville because of the vocals. I pushed through to follow the story and glad I did. Book two was an interesting story and I was invested in the couples development. By the end, I wanted more of their story told. Book three gave me laugh lines from chapter 1! Narrator's vocal choices fit well. I'm all in now-- let's go Blissville book 4!

Crying my eyes out 😭😭😭❤️❤️

I just want to start this off by saying these books are not REALLY stand-alones. You need to read the first 4 Curl Up & Dye books to be able to actually appreciate these three. The third book could be read alone but the side characters & world building make a whole lot more sense when you’ve read the other books first. There’s also some spoilers for the Curl Up & Dye books, so definitely better to read those first.

Unscripted Love: I love Chaz & Kyle with my entire heart. It’s really nice that we get to look back on their moments in the background of the Curl Up & Dye books & see what really happened from their point of view. It reads more like someone narrating past events for the first half of the book, but I still loved seeing their story & how they came together in the end.

Someone to Call My Own: This one made me ugly cry 😭. The raw emotions you’re made to feel on behalf of Emory & John are so real. Their story is probably one of the more realistic romances I’ve read. The heartbreak, frustration, anger, trauma, love, & forgiveness were so powerful. I couldn’t have asked for a better story for these two.

Nobody’s Prince Charming: These two were just adorable. This book is very much just a feel good, make you cry type book. You can still feel REN’s trauma present in the background but it’s not the main focus & he doesn’t let it get in the way of his feelings for Dar. Yes there’s a little angst in the beginning but once they finally really look at each other, there’s no big conflict they have to battle before getting together. It’s quite literally a fairy tale romance & it’s the perfect break you need after reading the other two couple’s stories & riding that emotional rollercoaster.

Basically 10/10 across the board, highly recommend ❤️

Three books in one recording

Unscripted Love (Road to Blissville #1)
I've read this author before but not this series. I listened to the audio book. This is a MM romance story set in the USA. Kyle is a small town vet and Chaz is a hair salon manager and secretly a romance author. Lots of secrets that reveal through talking. Great side characters and stories that continue with the other books in the series. Joel Leslie is the sole narrator. Off to listen to book 2
Someone to Call My Own (Road to Blissville, #2)
Book 2 in this series. I listened to the audiobook. This is a MM contemporary story set in the USA. The main characters are Emory a widower with psychic ability and Jonathon Silver an ex black ops soldier. A very unlikely pair with lots of things to work out. Slow burn but well worth the time. I love these two together and well as the others from Blissville. Great updates on the secondary characters from other books.
Nobody's Prince Charming (Road to Blissville, #3)
Book 3 in this series. I listen to the audiobook. The main characters were Dare and Wren. This MM contemporary story is about opposites attract. I didn’t think there was anything in Dare personality that Wren would find attractive and vice versa. Dare is the reception at Curl Up and Dye and Wren new stylist. these two have off the charts chemistry. Great updates from secondary characters. Love this authors work.

Joel Leslie..❤❤❤❤

I enjoyed the series more because the narrator who is my favorite.
Aimee Nicole is excellent author and I have been following her job for some time. The three books are very 👍 👍 👍; they are following the previous series of Josh and Gabe.Is somehow funny how she closed every character in.
Joel, did again, an absolute 💯 excellent job, his previous jobs made me buy this continuing series in audible version and I don't regret it, going to repeat it again❤❤❤

inconsistent accents are distracting, stories pretty good

The stories are mostly interesting and different enough from one another to avoid monotony. I adore Joel Leslie, but the accents for the second novel are really confusing: sometimes it's a bit like an exaggerated Louisiana accent, and other times, like somebody making fun of an Eastern Asian accent. I would rather a more neutral and less ambitious accent, as I can't get into the novel with so many incongruous accent elements involved. Otherwise, no regrets on reading this series.

Great Stories

A great read with interconnecting story lines and lots of love. The one thing missing is that book 1 seemed to have a prestory, perhaps from another series. Overall, it was a great read worth the time.

I know it's romantic fiction but...

The first book was almost enough for me simply to return the series and give up on it. the actual storyline was over halfway through the book and after that it was like they were simply struggling to make a storyline fit.

I enjoyed the story in the second book the most of the three. Overall, the dialogue was extremely unrealistic. Men simply don't talk to each other the way that some of these characters do.

The performance was probably the hardest thing to get past, especially in the third book when the narrator slipped into voices that sounded a lot more like the geriatric characters when it was supposed to be a sex scene between the younger characters.
