About this listen

Falling for a teammate who also happens to be your brother's best friend? Total rookie move.

McRae: I’ve had a crush on my brother’s best friend since the moment I laid eyes on him four years ago.

Warner Ramsey is 225 pounds of pure hotness, a media darling, and one of the best NFL quarterbacks in the league.

Hell, he’s the reason I figured out I’m solidly bi.

It was easy to keep my crush under control when I was in college. Now, we play for the same team, and every time he talks smack, I want to shut him up. With my mouth.

But I’ve got other things I should be focusing on, like dominating my rookie year with the Denver Rush and finally stepping out of my brother’s shadow.

Besides, Ramsey’s straight.

Ramsey: I’ve never tapped into my bisexuality—never told anyone except my best friend that I’m bi. All I want is to play football and not draw media attention like my dad, who got ousted from the league.

Garrett McRae is my biggest temptation. He’s gotten under my skin for years.

I’m supposed to be looking out for him, not thinking about getting him naked.

And definitely not the kiss we shared.

That I somehow instigated.

It was stupid, and not like me, but God, it was hot.

We’re teammates, with million-dollar contracts on the line. And yet…is a little experimentation really so bad

Rookie Move is a low-angst, high-heat sports romance in the Playing for Keeps series.

Love this series!!!

I have yet to read a single Neve Wilder book I didn't love! (Minus Mark's book in extracurricular because I hated him but loved chit so it made up for it) . I really hope the rest of her books are released on audio format!

Just incredibly talented! She writes endearing sweet and funny characters with depth. Incredibly hot sex scenes. Solid relationship development. Amazing relationship dynamics between MCs and supporting characters.

Just such an incredibly well rounded author. There aren't really any other authors in which I've loved everything I've consumed by them. Neve is one of them!

I finished this in one sitting

I love this so very much. Ramsey and Garrett are adorable together. I really hope Houston gets this own story next.

So Good!

Revisited on audio and loved it just as much as when I read it. Nick J Russo was fantastic!

Loved, loved, loved this! Had so many of my favorite things wrapped into one fabulous book! Best Friend's younger brother, football, teammates, first times, great dialogue, spot-on banter, scorching heat, and all the swoon! Ramsey and Garrett were just perfect together! I adored both characters, I absolutely loved their interactions with each other, and I found their communication and directness refreshing, both in and out of the bedroom. There wasn't any unnecessary relationship drama, and there were great, supportive family and friends. Just a low-angst, feel good sports romance that made me smile.

Please don't ever change the cover!

I love Nick J Russo alone...but give him an awesome story to perform and it's Chef's Kiss. I love the tension created between Garrett and Warner...it kept me feeling thrills throughout the whole book. I would read it again.

Plz don't change the cover!!! It currently features an incredibly handsome man with sparkling blue eyes and kissable lips! lately I have been seeing covers featuring hot men in favor of being changed into some kind of safe, generic, forgettable covers with no real description - I'm looking at you Ana Huang and Sophie Lark! 😡

Loved!

Super cute book! A perfect amount of spice, character development, good story, angst (just a bit!) and the slow burn at the beginning was delicious! I was nervous that the whole coming out thing/peoples negative reactions would be a bigger part of the story than I preferred, which is always a bummer but it was done just right! Can’t wait for more stories by these two!

Awesome as always!

Football is the game and loving a teammate is dangerous. This was a light banter between two great characters. The Thanksgiving scene was hilarious! You don’t want to miss this! Lots of great characters.

Great Listen

Cute friends to lovers sports based story! I liked that the straight-turned-bi narrative wasn’t overly sensationalized or cinematic, but instead a nautical realization while falling in love. Just the right amount of steaminess as well! Highly recommend
