Publisher's summary

Ethan Hart thinks I’m his maid. I might as well be.

The intense, irritating man has booked my entire Inn, Rose House, for six long weeks.

I'd love to serve him straight to the curb, but I need his money more than I need my pride.

Breakfast is a daily endurance test.

Making his bed and doing his wash? A different kind of torture.

And that’s not even the worst part.

With his haunted eyes, frozen heart, and heated touch, Ethan makes me want things I swore I never would again.

There’s no place in my life for him, nor in his for me.

But six weeks together might create... just enough room for us.

Room For Us is a full-length, standalone contemporary romance. Happily Ever After guaranteed!

A Romance that Overcomes All

After reading Fall before Flight, I immediately joined L.M. Halloran’s Facebook Group and am so glad I did because that is where I won the ALC of this wonderful book! With less angst than I am used to from this author but just as much heart, Room for Us had an especially cozy vibe for the heaviness of the subject matter within the pages.

For Zoey, bad things just keep coming. First, her husband asked for a divorce and then, her aunt died leaving her the Rose Hill Inn, a rundown Inn she is desperate to bring back to it’s former glory. Ethan Hart is an author looking for an escape in hopes of penning his next best-seller so, when he stumbles upon the Rose Hill Inn he books it for the entire summer. Ethan is surly and arrogant, rude and isolated, but, Zoey is dependent on the income housing him for the summer will bring and she’s willing to do anything for six weeks to get it. But Zoey and Ethan have more in common than they think and once they realize that, it becomes impossible to ignore.

Zoey is such an endearing character brought to life by Kit Swanson’s voice that was both emotive with warmth and infused with the quirk that was Zoey’s character. With an inner dialogue that included hysterical and heartwarming conversations with her deceased aunt, Zoey was a fun and lovable character. Ethan, voiced by Jeremy York, was a man beaten down by life which was portrayed in the narration so well. With a smooth yet grumbly edge, Jeremy’s voice fit perfectly for all that Ethan was and became throughout the story.

Room for Us has a maturity about it in the topics tackled, character development, and relationships but, it’s balanced well with fun banter that only forced proximity can bring. Zoey and Ethan’s story has depth in a healing that only they understand about one another and a connection that brings promise that there is always room for another.

Excellent!

This was wonderful - I was pulled in to the characters and their lives from the first page. I liked that their story wasn’t easy, but felt true. The characters in the small town were interesting and I’m looking forward to reading the next book of the series.
