About this listen

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Kristen Ashley comes a new story in her Chaos series…

Rosalie Holloway put it all on the line for the Chaos Motorcycle Club.

Informing to Chaos on their rival club - her man’s club, Bounty - Rosalie knows the stakes. And she pays them when her man, who she was hoping to scare straight, finds out she’s betrayed him and he delivers her to his brothers to mete out their form of justice.

But really, Rosie has long been denying that, as she drifted away from her Bounty, she’s been falling in love with Everett “Snapper” Kavanagh, a Chaos brother. Snap is the biker-boy-next door with the snowy blue eyes, quiet confidence and sweet disposition who was supposed to keep her safe…and fell down on that job.

For Snapper, it’s always been Rosalie, from the first time he saw her at the Chaos Compound. He’s just been waiting for a clear shot. But he didn’t want to get it after his Rosie was left bleeding, beat down, and broken by Bounty on a cement warehouse floor.

With Rosalie a casualty of an ongoing war, Snapper has to guide her to trust him, take a shot with him, build a them…

And fold his woman firmly in the family that is Chaos.

My first Time

This was my first time reading one of the books in the Chaos series. I had been thinking about starting the series for a while but didn't know if l really wanted to read a series about a biker gang. The introduction almost had me putting down the book because I'm seriously tired of women casually being violently victimized in stories. It would have been nice if they, the publisher, would have mentioned that the book had scenes with violence against women. After I worked myself through the introduction I found myself really appreciating the way the author introduced the main characters. After only a few episodes I was able to develop a good impression for not just their physical appearance but their moral character. The storyline turned out to be very well developed also.
In spite of all of the positive things about the story I couldn't give the story more than 3 stars because there were just too many times when the story just didn't progress. The author wrote several episodes of personal reflection for the main characters that were used to reflect on past and/or future incidents with the Chaos gang. I understood that this short story was to link up with other Chaos storylines but all of these things mean that we didn't have much personal interaction between the two main characters. I'll have to find another book or short story by the author to read before I can determine if I continue with the series.

It wasn’t too bad.

I don’t think I am a fan of KAs novellas. I absolutely love Kate Russell which helped me to finish.

awesomeness

I loved hearing this story. I wish I had listened to it prior to the last because it gave so much more depth to snapper and Rosie's relationship. this entire series was outstanding.

Great addition

I didn't even no this book existed. Two characters from the Chaos series that I always wondered if Kristen Ashley would write books about: Rosalie, and Landon--Shy's brother.
So I was excited to find there's about Rosalie.

A lot shorter than I would have liked, but it's well-paced and a great addition to the series.
Wonderfully perfect narration.

Still crossing my fingers for a book about Landon.

Left hanging!

I definitely prefer the longer novels with conclusions, to this novella. I was left wanting to know what happened. Not a fan of major cliffhangers. Hopefully the next ties up these ends. Still loved it though!

Rough Ride listen

Another great story by Kristen Ashley and narration by Kate Russell. These two make me want to start over the series and listen again. Even though this was shorter than her other Chaos stories it did not disappoint. Go Kristen!

Love KA

I love all KA books, but I HATE this narrator. I couldn’t finish listening to it. Her male voices are terrible and I can’t listen to Tack sounding like he’s being choked. So glad I have the actual books to read.

Shockingly Significant

Okay... at first I was only going to give this three stars because it was a good filler of information and was sweet. A little lacking on anything of great significance going on, but not bad at all. But that's the way of a novella, Right?

Anyway, the ending of the epilogue totally threw it into a 4 star. I have no idea what really happened and can't wait to find out. I have so many questions.

*****DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ A SPOILER*****

1. Since the scars bother Rosalie so much, why didn't Snapper or the Chaos crew offer her plastic surgery? I mean, they even bother Snapper, reminding him of what happened to her. So you would think they (or he) would offer to have her face fixed.

2. What's up with Boz?

3. Why was Snapper's first call to Rush, then Throttle, and then Tack?

4. I know they (someone) is trying to make him another brother killed like what happened to Black, but who and who knew all the information about what happened to Black and how that they would do the same thing to Snapper?

5. Is all this happening from someone inside, or is this just Valenzuela?

UGH!... So many questions. I am diving into the next book to find out. Hopefully it will give some answers.

I see there's a novella coming out in September. If I have to wait until then for the finale, I will be pissed (just kidding). I've held off for years to get the full story and not have to wait. Waiting a few months will make me crazy now that I've read this far.

I surely hope none of the Brothers and their Old Ladies get mortally hurt.
