Martha Sophie Marcus wurde 1972 im Landkreis Schaumburg geboren. Sie studierte Germanistik, Soziologie und Pädagogik und verbrachte anschließend zwei Jahre in Cambridge. Heute lebt sie mit ihrer Familie in Lüneburg. Mit ihrem ersten Roman "Herrin wider Willen", einer Geschichte aus dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg, feierte sie ein grandioses Debüt. "Salz und Asche", ein historischer Lüneburg-Roman, folgte. "Der Rabe und die Göttin", ein Roman aus der Wikingerzeit, erschien im Jahr 2011, "Die Bogenschützin" im Jahr 2012.

Spannung und Romantik historisch verpackt

Die starke und detailliert ausgearbeitete Protagonistin wirkte überzeugend, die Handlung packend und das Zeitkolorit glaubwürdig. Habe mich beim Lesen gut amüsiert und auch mit Spannung die Entführungsgeschichte der kleinen Schwester verfolgt. Die Böttchers sind eine interessante, wenn auch in Abstufungen sympathische Familie.
