Publisher's summary

Waking up with a gorgeous alien barbarian and discovering he'd kidnapped her was bad enough. But she's also trapped in the middle of a desert where no one can find her.

The cherry on top? No matter how much Caro protests, he's convinced she's his fated mate. And he won't let her go until he's claimed her.

Caro thought the Dothveks, who helped them when they crash-landed on the planet, were big and brawny and intimidating. But the barbarian who kidnaps her is even scarier. He’s a disgraced Dothvek who’s been exiled from the clan for murder, and he’s been living by himself in the desert. Apparently, he thinks she’s his to take. Not if she has anything to say about it.

Rukken has been by himself on the sands for years, when he hears of the human females living with his former clan. The moment he sees Caro, he knows she’s meant to be his mate. Too bad she isn’t convinced. He’ll just have to keep her hidden until she realizes she belongs to him. Even if it means tying her up. If only he could restrain his own desires as easily as he can restrain the small female.

This stand-alone action-romance novel features a tough, independent heroine; a gorgeous, sand planet barbarian warrior; some mild bondage, and steamy scenes in a desert oasis. If you like hot alien warriors, enemies to lovers, and fated mates romance with a happily ever after, you’ll love Savage, the fifth book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Barbarians of the Sand Planet series.

Great series

All of the books of this series have been pretty interesting, this book is no exception. I like the way the storyline flows from one book to another. Narrators continue to do a great job with characters. On the the next book, hope this won’t be the last!

I Loved it 💖great p

I love listening to books ! Especially ones I've read and loved in book of kindle format. The audio just brings a new depth of experience to the overall story and when it's done well it's soooo sooo good! I love the audio performance of both the male and female leads they made the story more exciting and allowed the listener to fully immerse is the relationship of the characters involved. it made the action and danger a bit more edgy and the passion between the couple even sexier! Totally recommend I hope they'll do Bexly's story next that was none of unfavourable the series!

Kidnapping

I did not like the kidnapping and how forceful the male character was. The story was ok because of that. I did not see anything that the two really had that made me believe the love they had like the other couples. Not a great story but the narrators were amazing!

Hunka hunka hermit and plucky pilot

Caro and Rukken
I enjoyed this much more than the previous Tribute because the couple are both likable. This can be heard as a standalone, but there are minor tie-ins to the previous novellas. These aren’t so much sequential as overlapping, so you’ll get the most out of them going in order. For instance, there’s a fair bit of groundwork in this book laid for the next book’s couple (alien Brexli gets her HEA, promising to make the next one a favorite for me).

I love enemies to lovers stories that never get too dark and this installment gives great feisty and growly parts, and even some mild tied captive kink, while maintaining consent. Also, I like that Caro is a pilot and former rebel fighter, giving her smarts and strength. Likewise, Rukken is noble and protective. Finally, I like that the conflict is more about circumstance than about Caro or Rukken’s faults. This makes for a fluffier marshmallow matinee listen- perfect for alien romance.
