Publisher's summary

Blood on the claws. Love on the run. Like crazy father, like darkness-bound son.

Lion shifter Lindley denied his power and fled his dysfunctional pride to save his life. After a decade trying to escape the hell in his soul, he runs into the woman he loved and abandoned. Runs, literally...as in, with his truck. His instinct is to chase her away, but if he doesn’t save his fated mate, he’ll be forever lost to encroaching madness.

Kyla is on the run. Her best friend was just sold to the highest bidder, and she’s up next. But fate flings her into the path of the man she loved - and who left her to suffer. He’s not the boy Kyla remembers, but the man stakes a savage claim.

Lindley must put aside fear of his inner darkness and forge his aggression into a deadly weapon. Kyla must blossom from an awkward cub into a graceful lioness, and learn to raise her roar and her claws. If either of them falters, the consequence is not just broken hearts, but broken lives.

Savage Claim, Lion Heartsbook two, is a steamy paranormal lion shifter romance. For listeners who crave a fractured but honorable hero, a woman in peril, and a second chance for fated mates to find love. Buy now because you love a gritty battle for the heart with broken but protective alpha males.

Great, Action packed love story!

Another fantastic story involving the shifters from Bearden! I love the friendly, loving camaraderie in this little town where all manner of shifters and humans live, love and fight together. So happy that Lindley has finally reunited with his sister and found his mate. Can't wait for the next story!

Kyla and Lindley

Great addition to the series though not as good as book 1 but still very good. Nice set up for the next book in the series, which, as of this review, is not on Audible. Sarah Puckett did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I already have the next book

Enjoying this series quite a lot I already have the next book and I’m enjoying that they don’t solve every problem in a book it is a continuation that focuses on different relationships and real characters as broken as any of us finding happiness because it’s not really a good book if there’s not an HEA

A good addition to a series but pacing was bad

I'm assuming this book is part of a series because you have already established characters and a cliffy at the end that sets up another book, so thus my assumption.
Other than that, it was an ok shifter story. Sort of a second chance romance. Why didn't I rate it higher? Pacing for one - 3/4 of the book was internal angst. I really felt the end was rushed and I felt like more could have been done with the hero. I was expecting him to take over the bad pride or come into his own but nope. His backyard fighting and being broody really had no place in the story and the heroine was a wimp for too long. Yes she found a spine but it was a little too late for me. I was just over it.
