Publisher's summary

Find your mate and choose your fate.

A lonely, bullied Fae, Tyler is on the verge of death when an unexpected portal opens up and ushers him into the human realm. He awakens to a beautiful wolf shifter who seems to be the source of a new...heart song. Could this strange heart song indicate his true mate?

No magic or tricks, nor cheat or spell...conceal you’re Fae and hide it well.

Blake is a museum curator who’s a little too curious for his own good. When he stumbles upon something he was never meant to see, everything changes.

The powers that be can’t send Tyler back to certain death in his own world with his Fae bullies, so they send Tyler home with Blake for one lunar cycle before the pair is forced to make a hard choice. In the meantime, there's only one rule. They're forbidden to reveal Tyler's true identity as Fae. In exchange for keeping the secret, Tyler is given the opportunity to choose a spirit animal.

And that's where the fun begins.

This is the second book in the Choose Your Fate series. This 44k mpreg novel contains a lot of magic, fluffy feels, and more than one familiar face. This book can be enjoyed on its own, but is best listened to as part of the series. Settle in and get ready to laugh and catch a case of feels from Susi Hawke.

Not everyone fits a stereotype

Unlike many of the stories within this series and prior series, this story doesn't really need to be read/listened to in order. There is a brief mention that this is the groups' second opportunity but the characters aren't really entwined with the first book.

In this book, we get to meet an unseelie fae and he breaks the stereotype of his people. Blake (family to the wolves in the Northern Pines Lodge) sees Tyler for the true kind-hearted man he is.

Be warned about adorable sloth shifting.

Another great performance by John Solo.

Sweet and gentle story of finding your heart-song.

Sweet and gentle story of finding your heart-song. I loved the story-line and the narration really brought Tyler and Blake to life for me. The goodness of their hearts and the love of Blake's huge family/pack really created a fun journey. I also really liked the history that was told through-out the story, i really enjoyed the world-building and depth of character development that we get to experience in this world. The idea of a museum curator was such a fun character to develop.

Tyler and Blake's characters made me laugh and shed a couple of tears as they found their way to love and forever. I love how Blake could accept all of Tyler and was so intent on making sure that Tyler knew he was perfect the way he was.

This is the second book in the Choose Your Fate series and it can definitely be read or listened to as a stand-alone story.

I really like the fae world

I love how the author builds these worlds. She has managed to build generations and from one series and makes it very hard to put down.

I have two words for you Sparky, energy lock.

Blake and Tyler are funny and adorable together. I found myself laughing out loud several times. “So much fart breath.”

Blake not only has found his fated mate Tyler, but also received an ancient historical artifact which they must figure out what to do with. The part of the story about the artifact isn’t as interesting as their story as a couple, but I found it entertaining enough as I really enjoyed getting to know Blake and Tyler.

Tyler has to pick a shifted animal for the next 30 days while he and Blake got to know each other. The animal he chooses is so cute.

I loved how Blake is a wolf shifter and an omega. Normally when I read about mixed shifter couples if one is a wolf, they are an Alpha. This switch was nice.

John Solo did a great job. Each character has their own voice making it a nice and easy listen.

A Wolf & A Sloth!

I really enjoyed this shifter story especially since I've never read about a sloth shifter. Tyler and Blake make a great alpha/omega pairing and I love how Tyler, the alpha, is so caring and protective with Blake. It's a super cute story with a great narrator who did a great job with this one. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

So amazing!

I love the series before this with fsted mates, world travel and special magic. This series, takes that to the next level by keeping all the original legacy pack members and making them the adults. And a sloth shifter? might be my favorite kind so far.

Wonderful Story

This was a wonderful and beautiful story. Chapter 11 made me tearup since I had a similar experience with my son's birth.

Very Cute Story!!

I really enjoyed this story! It was cute and sweet and i absolutely fell in love with these MCs. I haven't read the Legacy books by Susi but I have read her other shifter stories and it took me half way through the book to realize I knew the Grandparents and many more of the side characters but when I did I was smiling like a loon. Getting to see those characters so many years after their stories had ended was awesome! Tyler and Blake were perfect for each other and I really liked Blake's reaction when they had to return to the circle after the month was over, he was so sweet to Tyler. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series, I can't wait to see who gets set up next! The narration was great, John Solo knows how to bring these character's to life!
