Fan of Crystal Paine

I love Crystal and her testimony and have been a frequent visitor if her site for years. I really enjoyed this book! There were several inspiring lines I wrote down as inspiration to get or keep my act together and on tract! The only problem I had with this book was the recording. It sounded echoey and at one point I heard what sounded like someone kicking a file cabinet. Just be prepared for that. But it is a book almost all women could garner something from! Worth a listen ladies.

Applies More to SAHMs

While there were many useful tips, I needed advice directed more at juggling the responsibilities of self, work, and family.

Perfect book for a beginner

I really enjoyed this book. I am at a very hectic point in my life. Trying to figure out how to destress, be a wife a mom and a working professional. Crystal's wisdom and insight is so profound yet simple to apply. I see a more positive brighter and better future for my family and I.

Nothing new

Some good reminders but nothing new here. I listen to many audiobooks so this may be better for someone who is just starting to listen to self-improvement books.

Some great content, but listen at 2x speed.

The narration is a little tough to get through, but if you up the playback speed, it helps a lot and you'll be glad you persevered. The best part of the book is the first half. She offers some great ideas for implementing routines and schedules, prioritizing self care, saving time, balancing your life, etc. As a mom of young kids, I was getting overwhelmed with being in survival mode all the time, which is not a sustainable way to live (the book talks about burnout). This book gave me the suggestions and advice I was looking for, and there's already been a very noticeable difference in my life after just a few days and implementing just a few things from the book. If nothing else, this book helped me shift the paradigm in which I function and my days include less stress and more energy.

Things I didn't like: The book is narrated by the author and the sing song cadence of her voice gets very repetitive. However, as I mentioned above, speeding it up to 2x makes it easily tolerable. In the middle it gets a little patronizing when discussing self discipline, and there are numerous shameless plugs for the author's own blog, but the content in the first half and some at the end of the book is well worth it.
