Horrible Narration! unlistenable!

I have listened to literally hundreds of audiobooks... and this is the first time I have wanted to return a title. It is unlistenable. I'm sure the content is likely amazing but the narrator sounds like a nervous third grader trying to read in front of the class. It's painful to listen to and unfortunately I paid outright for the title so I cannot return it. Therefore I want to save others from my mistake.

I prefer audiobooks over any format and I really want to listen to this book. Daniel Priestly is an amazing marketer and my issue is not with the content but I'm shocked at the lack of judgement to put out such a poorly performed product. I have never written a bad review before and I feel bad for it because I know how important reviews are to an author... but wow! It would be so much better in the author's own voice so he can convey his passion and expertise.

Lots of good info with action steps

This book is for those who have heard of scorecard marketing and want to know how to get started. The content is based on the idea that you know they have a tool that helps you understand why scorecards are important and how their tool can help you with that process.

The book has a lot of good information about what to consider when deciding to use scorecards to generate leads and to understand existing clients. The authors pointed out some things I had not considered and will help fine-tune messaging. I like that the book has several action steps so you know what to do next. In my opinion, it also makes the steps easier to digest.

The only drawback was that the narration was pretty bad and distracting. The person reading would regularly have awkward, long pauses for 5-8 seconds. For example, let the person know how............ can get in touch with you.
I think he was reading, and the pause must have come when it was time to flip the page. This could have been cut out in editing. Also, on a few occasions, he made mistakes that could have been edited out as well. The one where he starts a sentence, says Darn it, and then tries again was funny, though. The level of sound changed a lot as well. I'm just saying the narration was low quality, and I expected more since the other book by this author was so well done.

Overall I recommend the book for the valuable content, but if you have time just read it vs listening.
