Publisher's summary

"A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm are BRINGING ROMANCE BACK! Scoring Mr. Romeo is absolutely BURSTING with heart pounding, blood pumping, skin tingling ROMANCE!" (Shayna's Spicy Reads)

Here's a tip: Never underestimate romance.

Falling in love was the furthest thing from my mind. I'm a single mother raising a strong little boy, and he is my one and only priority. The universe felt otherwise, sending me - actually, my son's soccer ball - hurdling toward a stunningly handsome, perfect man who said all the right things. He made it hard to ignore how much I missed romance.

In the past, when I met a man, he ran as soon as he heard I'm a widow with a child. Not this guy. No, he fell in love with my son, and in turn my son fell in love with him. But it was hard to believe he felt the same about me. My job was to be the strong one - to protect our hearts from sweet dreams that never lasted.

***

Women told me I was a master of romance. They were right. I knew how to sweep a woman off her feet, to make her feel special and good in all the right places. I wasn't a saint. I've had my share of one-night stands. They served their purpose, giving me a steady diet of romance without the hassle of commitment.

Then, one day at the park, a soccer ball came careening toward my head, and my life changed in an instant. I never imagined that true love would come in the form of a five-year-old boy. And then I got to know his mother: She was strong, independent, drop-dead gorgeous, and someone I desired - I just needed to prove it to her. She called me Mr. Romeo, and that was fine with me. Lesson learned: Love always trumps everything.

Scoring Mr. Romeo is a contemporary romance stand-alone novel meant for listeners who are 18+ due to mature content.

Romantic

I am so in love with Luca. Mr. Romeo is the perfect name for this sexy Italian who is a romantic at heart. That man was sweet, sexy, caring, swoony and the dirty words he said will make your clothes drop. This was a super sexy slow burn romance with amazing characters and an adorable boy who will melt your heart. I loved everything about this book and a great book for any romantic heart.

FINALLY they got the male narrator correct. Wen Ross’s voice was smooth and perfect for Luca. The slight accent was swoon worthy and melt your panties hot. Wen only made Luca that much sexy and the story that much better. Mackenzie Harte wasn’t horrible but I did think her voice was a little older for Sabrina but it was still enjoyable.

Sexy Italian

I loved this book! It was a surprise to me with the storyline as well as who I found out who did narration! Love Wen Ross! and he did amazing! So did Mackenzie!
I fell in love with Luca more from getting to know him in the first two books. He is quite a romantic. And loved how he was with Mikey, the little boy! Its a great story! As always I just loved the romance sexiness as well as the banter between the boys. I love the Mr. Series! Xo

Romantic

Luca is an incurable romantic with a heart of gold.

The school scene? 🤣🤣🤣
The soccer game scene? 🤣🤣🤣

And yet Sabrina and Luca are still shooting off sparks. And Mikey. Luca’s connection with Sabrina’s son is full of ease, despite in la k of knowledge of 5 years olds (with the exception of their shared love of soccer).

My heart lies with Luca and I can honestly say I knew what was coming. Not how or when, just that it would. I wanted to hate on her but I totally understood. But Luca? He did do many
Wonderful things for and with Sabrina and Mikey, and one mistake and she’s abandoned any hope of what they’ve shared ever becoming more. And this after he laid it on the line.

It’s not over but it takes some meddling to put it right. Sweet and romantic.

Humor inserted throughout added so much!

I did not enjoy the narrators. I have enjoyed the male narrator in other books but not so much this one. The female narrators voice was hard for me to listen to. But, overall, I enjoyed the story.

A SWOONWORTHY ROMANTIC STORY

This was a sweet drama-light listen as Luca, a handsome droolworthy Italian stallion, gets colorfully hit (both literally and figuratively) by a sweet five year old boy. But his beautiful single Mom Sabrina had an even bigger impact on him.. and the more he gets to know them both, and hears their story, the deeper he willingly falls. Because this man is ALL heart.. with his close group of friends and with supporting, sharing and spoiling the new loves in his life. And, as the weeks pass with shared family times and private sexy times, Luca is certain he’s found ‘the one’.. but Sabrina is about to pull the plug.

Hairdresser Sabrina is a devoted single Mom.. her deceased scumbag husband’s shocking secrets came out after his death which rocked her world and left her passive about men and positive that she wouldn’t let another one into her heart. Over the years she’s had a few dates which led to knowhere.. but, when she’s faced with a handsome, caring, thoughtful, loyal, sexy Italian, who treats her and her son like treasure, Sabrina slowly drops her walls. Until the night Luca let her son down.. then it’s going to end in heartbreak and tears - Sabrina’s tears, her son’s tears.. and Lucas’ tears too.

Worth a credit? Yes, I really enjoyed this listen with its building blossoming relationships between a beloved little boy as he meets and makes a new best friend.. and between the oh so sexy successful hero and his chosen heroine. It’s a well narrated, sweet, sexy, relationship-driven dual POV plot with one drama that rocked and sank the boat.. and, because I’m curious about the other characters I met in this book, I’m going to get book 1 too.

Fun series but especially love this book

I'm enjoying this series very much and even bought the ebook collection. I was happy that the first and third book (this one) were in audible escape so I could listen. The first book was ok (the male narrator was a little off from how I pictured the person and I didn't actually read the second book yet. ha) but this book? This book had Wen Ross. That voice, oh that voice. And he affected an accent for Luca's lines (he actually had his normal accent unless he was actually playing Luca which is skill. Mackenzie Harte was great too- good control of voices and she did an accent for Luca as well. This book would have played well as a duet given that there were a lot of moments of interconnectedness.

Luca is perfect. Romantic, loyal, supportive, perfect. The guy you want in real life but that rarely exists. I loved him. And Mikey, along with the previous characters from the first 2 books were great. I have to say that Sabrina's reaction to certain things were annoying and a bit immature so I give the book itself 4 stars. But I would totally reread just for Luca and because I knew i would want to after listening to most of the audiobook, I bought it too- the audiobook brings another dimension to the book itself.

so cheesy

Not a particularly well-written story but the narration is fine. Although the women's voice sounds older than the character the Male's voice is fine. Almost didn't finish.
