fantastic third book of the series!!!

Great story and narration!

Our fearless second chance swordsman is back and the desperate fight to prevent the bleak feature that he came from continues! Dungeons, elves, and a princess are all challenges that he must face...

the narration was excellent!

I really enjoyed this audiobook and can't wait to find out what happens next!

Great addition to a great story!

The character and plot development are both amazing though I've come to expect that for the Tannerverse books I highly recommend the series and paint wait for the next.
And as always great narration and performance from Steve.

The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because I hold a high standard and have only given two books a 5 star review ever

Amazing journey to save the future

Second Chance Swordsman 3

The world is in better shape than Sam’s original timeline ever was. With the human and dwarven kingdoms original crisis averted, Sam looks towards the next big events. Hopefully, he will be able to prevent the apocalypse yet!

Despite the pending apocalyptic theme, these are always fun books. They have a very anime theme to them. Sam is getting more and more powerful. It’s necessary since his enemies are as well. The side characters get to share in on the spotlight as well. Steve Campbell does a great job with the narration!

Fun adventure with a dash of humor

I really enjoyed this 3rd installment in the series. It fleshed out the rest of the side characters with some short interludes as well as deepened the world lore and system all while having plenty of action and a good dose of humor. I especially enjoyed the trope characterization humor as well as the callbacks to the side characters' prior lives in the tower climber series. My only complaint is that the MC often knows too much about the one off dungeons to be plausible, since sometimes it was completed by an untrustworthy group or one that would actively hide their history and thus shouldn't be writing about what happened, which has happened throughout the series. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this book almost straight through, and will certainly be getting the next when it is out.

when is the anime?

The series is still anime AF, it's a wonderful power fantasy that's so well written, I already look forward to the next book and where they will go in the world

Steve is amazing as always, so many voices and keeping them all straight, not to forget the feelings his voice conveys

Fun, but disappointing.

Overall, the story has a good story ark but there are many overdone clichés in this story. Almost all the time the high-level characters are beaten in someway, and then the lower level main character has to come along and succeeded. The main character has to go through difficult advancement while his friends seem to pass through it quite easily. I can go on and list many more examples of this throughout the story. The overall feeling was this story was made for young children. Everything was exaggerated, and yet everything worked out in the end.

Great Story!

I extremely enjoyed listening to this book! It was highly entertaining, action-packed, fun, and heartwarming. I loved that the other characters were given their own moment. It's so nice to see them grow and developed their skills.

Steve Campbell did phenomenal with the narration! He did each character's voice very well! I am always in awe of his talent!

I need more SCS!

To rushed

There are four plot lines in this book. two have next to no reason where as the other two feel as if they could have been flushed out into their own books. This seems to be a running theme with the series.
