About this listen

When cybercriminals hack into the US Marshals' Witness Protection database and auction off witnesses' personal details to the highest bidders, the RED Team led by FBI Agent Sean Nichols begins a high-stakes chase to find the hacker. But before he can even get started, the first witness is targeted and barely escapes with her life. Sean believes Phantom, an obsessed hacker who previously outwitted the top minds in the field, is behind the attack, and Sean needs this witness's help, as she's the person who has come closest to discovering Phantom's identity.

Trouble is, she's a witness under the care of US Marshal Taylor Mills, and Sean is reluctant to work with the captivating marshal who knows his deepest secrets. But Phantom claims he knows where the witness is hiding and will kill her, so to stop the hacker, Sean and Taylor must work through their personal pain and learn to trust each other....

The seconds are ticking down before someone dies.

nice twist

good story with surprise ending. this is the first book I've listened to by this author and I really liked it. I had good information kept my attention the whole time and had a nice surprise ending which I like in these kind of books.

I'll definitely listen to another one and the narrator did a fantastic job

No Sex Just a great story

I am so glad I found an author who can write a good story without having to fill up space with unnecessary sexual material

Great story but buy the book, narrator not great

The story is great and Susan is one of my favorite authors. I have all of her audiobooks and enjoy them. This one departed from her typical narrator. The narrator for this audiobook rendered the women’s voices deep and the men’s nasally. It was so destruction that I gave up and ordered the book instead. I miss the previous narrator used for the Cold Harbor and White Knights series.

Douglas Sabattis

Enjoyed the book storyline Character development. Also twist with female criminal. Only thing the Narrator was not quite right on with emotion. Trust was big issue. That and forgiveness.
I would like Dusty make the decision to accept Christ.

Entertaining and fluent character analysis.

These two people had to sort out where they were going in there personal encounter in spite of the natural attraction to one another. I think that kissing can often rev up the body and leave it unfulfilled with nowhere to go. These two were constantly in that mode of analysis. Such personal encounters were a minimal part of the story as a whole nevertheless, with everything else going on it was interesting to see them work out that process.

Narrator Almost Made Listening Intolerable

Susan Sleeman's books are really good, and I'm enjoying them! However, Gabra Zackman's narration turned me off from the get-go. In fact, I rarely write reviews, but I just had to say something in the hopes authors won't choose her ever again. This was only the second book in the series, and I loved the narrator of the first one, so I have no idea why a switch was made, but if I hadn't already been sucked into the series by Susan's good stories, I would have quit listening and returned the book. Gabra reads everything the same way . . . with such intensity it's like every single part of the story is the climax. It's super annoying!
