Publisher's summary

Bound by magic to a missing trickster god, a young adventurer quests for supernatural treasures and secret knowledge in a dangerous fantasy world.

Once upon a time, Robin was one of billions of people struggling just to get through twenty-first century life. Now, he’s a bard of growing renown in an enchanted realm, capable of conjuring realistic illusions—a gift from the mischievous missing deity Rhyth—and an enemy of the tyrannical Lord-God Urkhan.

Charged with discovering what happened to Rhyth, Robin leads a band of warrior fortune hunters into the city of Tarin-Tiran, a once prosperous civilization where the trickster god had been openly worshipped. Invaded by the armies of Urkhan many years ago, nothing remains but ruins and the legions of hobgoblins left behind to uncover the powerful magical artifacts buried there.

But terrors far worse than hobgoblins await Robin and his party: Wild Magic runs rampant through the city, and anyone touched by it is liable to suffer its unpredictable ill effects. Acid fog drifts along the landscape consuming everything in its path. Creatures born of shadow strike in silence. And Urkhan’s high priest, Gis—whom Robin has run afoul of time and again—is also in Tarin-Tiran, seeking to increase his master’s power.

Amidst the otherworldly objects hidden in the city is a black iron crown, scrolled with blood-red enamel runes. It is the crown of Kharvec’Na, and it bestows upon its bearer the ability to compel others to obey his commands. Robin’s not about to let the crown fall into Gis’s hands, but will he be able to resist the temptation to don the weapon himself?

The third volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 800,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!
