Great advice, great listen.

Rachel Noah gives various insights into what self-esteem and self-acceptance involve. His writing style keeps my interest. A good aspect of this book is that Ellis discusses the strengths and weaknesses of other well-known books on his topics. The book is ahead of its time in terms of what exactly constitutes self esteem and how to improve. . Discusses how behaviors should be our focus not our selves. We can change our behaviors, but not who we are. Highly recommended classic. Rachel Noah pioneered a revised approach to self-esteem in particular & cognitive therapy models in general, over a half-century ago, & his system is still productive today.

Highly recommended!!

This series of teen workbooks is one of the most valuable resources I have found for counseling my at risk teenage students! I purchased the anxiety, anger, self esteem and overcoming negative feelings handbooks and I was honestly nervous. These books are perfect for a novice therapist like me! It provides the structure I need and it puts information in simple words.

It’s a good exercise book

I truly enjoy this workbook. It’s practical, useful, and it simplifies what confidence really means as opposed to what most people perceive it to be; superficial and physical. I highly recommend this workbook to anyone who is seeking to strengthen this area of their life, I think you’ll find it helpful.

This book has changed my life

Nothing in this book that isn't already common sense. Take care of yourself. Get some sleep. Get some exercise. Eat better. Well, no kidding, really? Right away it has you read all kinds dietary info that seems Greek to me. With this info it wants you to draw up your own diet. The whole thing just seems so out of touch with the realities of true low esteem

Perspective Changing !!!!

Really good book that I have recommended to friends. Starts a bit slow, but after the first few chapters I learned a lot and found it very helpful. One of the best self-help books I have listen. I was looking for a book that would show me how to have self esteem and I was extremely surprised to find this book what I needed yet not about gaining self esteem but ultimately how my view of myself is based on my view of God. Highly recommend this book for all women, especially those in leadership. .

Great book definitively helps with low self-esteem

I'm a private practice counselor and often, I find that the assessments in the book not only provide a good indication of how well each of my clients are doing from session to session, but each chapter also provides hands on homework for clients to take home to complete, reflect upon, and bring for processing results in next sessions.

Another excellent Brandon book

I think at this point I have read all of them (some twice). This one is a bit more philosophical than some of the later ones. It was his first book and sets the foundation for his life's work. Very important for those who want to better understand human psychology.

Simple and Informative!!

Great resource for working with teens. It's a supplement to facilitate conversation on self esteem without being therapeutic or personally invasive.as the books are simple and easy to understand, the workbook exercises helped to reinforce the points....recommend this book to anyone as the book contents can also be used for adults as well!!!
