Publisher's summary

Witness how seemingly innocent, neighbor-loved men turned into devilish creatures, feared till this day.

Famous actors, musicians, political leaders, and the greats of science. There are stories told. Movies filmed. And books written and narrated about the impact they’ve made on the world. But this is a collection of different kind of people. People who are known not for their selfless, positive, and genuine contributions, but the opposite....

In this audiobook set of four true crime books, you will learn about men who performed acts so cruel, inhumanely heartless, and unfathomable that their names will never be forgotten.

This collection includes four of the world’s most well-known serial killers:

  • Edmund Kemper: Rejected child whose traumatic childhood scarred him for a lifetime. The only way he could deal with his pain was by inflicting pain on others.
  • Jeffrey Dahmer: Cannibalistic rapist and necrophiliac serial killer who felt no remorse and absolutely zero empathy.
  • Robert Berdella: An ordinary man, appreciated by neighbors and a great lover of cooking, art, and culture, who turned into one of the most sadistic torturers to ever live.
  • Ted Bundy: After taking dozens of innocent lives across seven states and escaping the prison twice, he earned the title of America’s most wicked serial killer.

Delve into the dark, hidden side of the impactful - their names are never said out loud yet will never be forgotten....

Overall Decent True Crime Doc

The narrator was OK, there were a few instances where the narrator stumbled, stuttered, or paused inappropriately which could have been remedied by reading the material prior to doing the narration. You can't blame the narrator for using the wrong word however, That is the editors fault. For a series about serial killers, the overall tone of narration could have been more serious. All and all, it is what it bills itself as; a detailed account of the horrific crimes of infamous serial killers.

I want more!!

Dark and sinister. My kind of book!! With the arrival of Fall and Halloween around the corner I was in the mood for a good horror book. This was it! The fact that these were all TRUE crime stories, just chilled me to my core! Loved each volume, especially Ted Bundy. As an Oregon State University alumna, his story hits home for me and makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. If you're looking for something to keep you up at night- you need this collection!!

Great Book! Absolutely Horrible Narration.

The book itself was very good. Very detailed and VERY graphic. The book focused on 4 prolific serial killers.
The narrator, however. was horrible. Horrible isn't even a good enough word to describe his reading. I struggled to even finish the book because of him.
I will not get another book if it is narrated by Michael Goodrick.

Dark, disturbing and chilling true life horrors!!

There are four true crime stories in this collection:

Book 1: Edmund Kemper.
Edmund was abused as a child. He had a rage inside him that cruelly forced him to sexually and physically torture young men.

Book 2: Jeffrey Dahmer.
Dahmer was a cannibalistic rapist and necrophiliac serial killer.

Book 3: Robert Berdella.
Berdella was a normal man, but also a sadistic torturer.

Book 4: Ted Bundy.
One of America’s most notorious serial killers, taking numerous lives.

Ryan portrays the stories through the killers’ eyes and puts you in their minds. It is so disturbing yet so important to know! He mentions how fortunate we are to be able to learn from these events and to be wary, as many people are not who they seem to be. It is a chilling horror depicting real life paths that these dark and disturbing people followed. The stories were creepy, vividly described and cleverly portrayed. Ryan has a gift of giving you goosebumps and shudder at the thoughts. The story was very well written and very well narrated by Michael. The performance was like watching a sick movie playing while I was listening.

I highly recommend this series and I look forward to hearing more from both the author and narrator!

Serial killers

I thought this was a good collection of information about 4 horrific killers. The information was enough to get a good overview of their background and crimes without bogging down the narrative. It was read well. If you want to read/listen to something that will make you look over your shoulder while getting into your car, this should do it.

New details about old cases.

This book was a good retelling of four crime stories that happened in the past. The story about the Kansas City killer was the most interesting to me as it occurred in an area I am familiar with. The details of each story were told in a concise interesting manner.

The narrator was sometimes hard to listen to. He talked in a monotone voice and almost seemed like he was computerized.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to know the details of crime stories told in a new and different way.
