Not what I I expected

It didn’t grab at the beginning, which to me is a red flag. It moved slow and, it was a bit disjointed making hard to follow everything. The biggest disappointment was the fact it’s not really a suspense novel. Dramatic parts yes, but true suspense no. The story itself was ok. But if you’re a fan of Lisa Phillips, Susan May warren, Susan sleeman, etc this probably is not the book for you. However, if you prefer tamer books, this may be a good fit.

Exciting!

This story flows nicely from scene to scene telling of an adventure in life where a group of people fight to survive and two of them fall in love.
Strong and believable characters and a good story! What more can one ask for?
I listened to a promotional audiobook and this is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.

Enjoyable

This is full of suspense. I'm thankful for the Christian aspect of the book, and how it shows that trials also come to those who serve. The characters were well developed and most were enjoyable. I also liked the forgiveness shown by some. All that being said, it was a long listen and wasn't quite the type of book I would normally like. The narrator also did a good job on her part.

Trigger warning: Date rape, kidnapping

This is a wonderful Christian Contemporary Suspense Romance! I had a hard time listening at first because of the triggers mentioned above, but once I got past that first trigger if was all good! Elle writes a tender emotional story and keep the focus of God’s love and redeeming power!
The narrator was a tiny bit choppy in her presentation, but overall she did great! The characters were easy to identify and she had a large variety to create! I definitely recommend this audiobook and both the author and narrator! I look forward to more from both of them!

Okay story

The story was okay, a lot of characters introduced throughout so that was a bit hard to follow. I did not care for the narrator at all. Her inflections, lack of emotion, and pauses made it super hard to follow.

Not for me

I tried to push through this book, but it starts right off with a girl waking up in a hotel room from being drugged and raped, and she ends up pregnant from it. This is not something I want to read about, since the same suffering girl now appears to be going to be chased/stalked/hunted or whatever for the rest of the book. One or the other of those traumas was enough. Two just seems unnecessary. Also, the narrator sounds very inexperienced and fake and I just couldn't do it, so I'm returning.

Narrator annoying

Unable to get very far into story. Narrator talked too fast, running sentences together and seemed mechanical.

Not what I expected

This is my first book from this author and I was disappointed. Its reads as if she is new to writing and the narrator didn’t bring the characters to life. It was like she was reading with no emotion.
