Publisher's summary

Surely, Charles Clemency must be the murderer? After all, he is the only actual suspect found in the locked bedchamber next to the still, graceful body of his lady wife. Inspector Lestrade is justifiably proud of himself for solving a case without the assistance from you-know-who. The compelling evidence confirms that there is nothing irregular about this investigation, and that Charles is clearly as guilty as sin. So, why is Holmes suddenly taking a keen interest in the case?

Better than the first book

A decided improvement over the first book. While not completely up to the same standard as the original stories it was decently done

Holmes never ceases to amaze!

Detective Inspector Lastrade had already solved a murder investigation, when Holmes, at a loose end, butted in.
He found some oddities but.. well you need to read or listen to the entertaining rendition of this story.
I believe you will find it a short, but engaging tale.

Good Recreation of The Classic Holmes

After listening to the first book within this series, I think this one showed a remarkable improvement. I felt like Homes and Watson were done more to the tune of how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote them. I enjoyed this story quite a bit and really look forward to listening to the rest in the series.

I enjoyed Kevin Theis's narration. With his accent and different character voices, I felt he did Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson justice. I really liked how he played Lestrade as well. He really brings me back to listening to The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes radio shows, not that I am old enough to have listened when they aired originally.

SH Solves another Crime

An okay story. SH is well written and even Lastrade comes off better than he's written in the movies. A relaxing way to spend some time while locked away at home because of the virus.

Watson Where are You

Sherlock Holmes and Lestrade’s Irregular Investigation by Kevin Theis is a great Sherlock Holmes story. One thing I will say as the title suggests is that Watson is not in this one. However Holmes and Lestrade do make an interesting pair. I did enjoy the pairing but still prefer Watson for obvious reasons. The overall mystery is very good. The narrator Kevin Theis did a fantastic job bringing the story and it’s characters to life. All in all I would recommend Sherlock Holmes and Lestrade’s Irregular Investigation to anyone who is a fan of Sherlock Holmes or loves a good mystery.

Crazy

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Lestrade actually gets it right but Sherlock for some reason or another decides that he wants to investigate the case. What a crazy twist of events and who is really behind these murders!

Sooo good. Sherlock Holmes fans will love this

2nd in a set of 4 great Holmes stories

This is the 2nd of four great Holmes stories about the Corvus conspiracy. They are also available in a completed volume. I grew up with a love for the old basil rathbone and Nigel Bruce black and white Holmes movies. This story is written and performed in that same spirit. Truly a wonderful addition to any Holmes fans collections. Highly recommended. The narrators deliver that old time movie/radio show feel. Sherlock & Lestrade Team Up

This review is for the Audible version.

A quick and delightful listen. The narrator Kevin Theis is amazing. This is a unique story line. Like Ian's other Sherlock books. This is in the style of Basil Rathbone's Sherlock. Ian takes a few liberties to give a new enemy who seems to be as deadly as Moriarty. This is much to short. And I can't wait to finish the Corvus Conspiracy series.

This adventure team up Sherlock and Lestrade in a murder investigation, and Ian does a great job throwing a few curve balls. Well worth the less than $3 price.

I hope Ian writes some more Sherlock mysteries

Enjoyable

Delightful and the evidence points to Charles as the culprit. Lestrade solved the crime or did he. Sherlock thinks other wise. Good caper for the two of them. Enjoyable as always.
