Two Supernatural Shorts

This volume contains two longer stories and I felt I had more time to invest in the characters and plot like this. The narrator for this audiobook is still a nostalgic favorite. His cadence and tone are oddly soothing even with these paranormal shorts.

The first story reminded me of the Bell Witch series with the creepy box. Sinister and suspenseful theme with a truly evil grandmother. The second story is more a mixture of the outcome of greed and be careful what you wish for scenario. A mirror that holds a dark secret and a family member that let's his narcissism get the better of him.

Though I wouldn't call this a novel or collection (maybe more of a novella edition) I enjoyed the paranormal stories and look forward to more.

Great pair of stories

Great pair of stories, both a lesson in leaving family heirlooms alone once their relatives have passes, or maybe they are still hanging around in one form or another? I love these short stories, I imagine they’d be great for around the campfire, though I always seem to read them right before bed! Great combination of creepy and creative done by the authors. I wish I knew how they came up with their stories. If you like creepy stories definitely give these a read! I enjoy John Pirhalla’s narration, he does a fantastic job!

2 Good Horror Shorts

I absolutely love this short story series only complaint always want more and hate when they end. I enjoyed both stories no favorites this time. 1st Home Again don’t open box that grandpa said to never to you may open another Pandora box; 2nd The Inhabitant of the Mirror, poor Michael knew something was wrong about it. Highly recommend if you want quite horror shorts with good narration, keep them coming.

Not all old things are beautiful!

Why is it that we’re drawn to the old things that we’ve been told not to touch, or feel the need to look into things we were told to destroy? I’ve always hated mirrors, and the second story in this book just enforces that. I loved the stories! It’s a wonderful book with terrible creatures, and definitely makes you think about the what ifs.
