Will she need the man to keep her role as mom?

A heartbreaking bequest unexpectedly makes childless Maggie Howard a single mother. But if she can’t locate her late friend’s missing will, producing a rich, proud “papa” might be the only way to keep baby B.J. safely in her custody. Not that she needs the cash, of course, but she must convey an appearance of stability! And then, as luck would have it...in saunters sexy-as-sin, fun-loving new neighbor Nick McKenzie, with money and moxie enough for a short-term charade. His masculine tenderness instantly holds tiny B.J. spellbound. His brash sexuality rocks Maggie to her core.

The man and the child flood Maggie’s hungry heart with dreams of happily ever after - but will Nick’s suggestion of a supposedly makeshift marriage turn their newfound love, as well as their plan, into an out-and-out disaster?

I loved this audiobook!

I'm not very good at writing reviews but, I do know what I like and I loved this audiobook! At times, you’ll want to shake some sense into Maggie & Nick and tell them not to be so stubborn. You'll laugh and cry when listening to this book! I highly recommend this audiobook. A great story and the narrator of this book did a wonderful job! I was so pleased with my first ever audiobook!

I was provided a copy of Shotgun Wedding by the author. The above review is my honest opinion of it.

What Can I say?

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This was a long and twisted tale that got to an HEA. I didn't care for the premise that you have to lie to get what you need. There are always ways to work within the system to get things done. Lies lead to more lies and mistrust. Yes, the baby's welfare was at stake but I think that given the circumstances the social worker would have worked with the lady to keep the baby. In the end, a lot of the mistrust could have been avoided. It all worked out in the long run of things.

Classic Romance with a Contemporary Texas Twist

Two strangers, brought together by an unanticipated baby, join forces to meet the challenges. Through the usual chaos of new baby, miscommunication and misunderstanding ensues. 'Shotgun Wedding' has just enough tension and twists that the reader rides the 'will they or won't they' suspense to find out if all will come out right in the end.
I enjoyed the Kindle version of this book a while back. Recently, I was provided a complimentary link to the new audio version by the author. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. The voice actor was excellent, and fit my ideas of the characters so well it made the story come alive. Cadence, inflection, and volume were perfect. I appreciate how professional this work is, since I listen to a lot of audiobooks while traveling or engaged in mindless tasks. Great job all around!

A great romance story!

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The story was very sweet with a creative plotline. It was a little slow for me at times, or maybe they just misunderstood each other one too many times... Regardless, I enjoyed the story. The narrator did a great job as well, including successfully pulling off the female and male's parts. Shotgun Wedding is pretty much true to life except for the almost insta-love. I can imagine the stress Maggie was under loving BJ as she did and unable to find the proof she needed to keep her. Nick probably seemed an answer to prayer until she started to think more about it. The characterization was good and Jim Cooper did a good job portraying them.

I recieved a Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.
