How far will a good girl go for the bad boy she loves?

Laney Holt is a preacher’s daughter. A good girl. Her only goal was to get married, have babies, and live happily ever after, just like her parents. Only that didn’t happen. The two people closest to her betrayed her, and Laney’s dreams came crashing down. Now she’s left with an empty space she doesn’t know how to fill. Until she meets Jake Theopolis, a daredevil with a death wish who has heartbreaker written all over him.

Jake has no interest in thinking beyond the here and now. All he wants out of life is the next rush, the next “feel-good” thing to keep his mind off the pain of his past. His latest rush? Showing Laney there’s more to life than being a good girl - and that going bad can be so much fun. Her only concern now is how she can ever hope to satisfy the wild side of a boy like Jake. But she’ll give it everything she’s got. And so will Jake.

Loved it

Any additional comments?

Maybe it's the southern accents that does it for me, but this was a great audio book. Great story, flowed great and remained entertaining.

A Love Story

This was an easy going love story. Predictable, but I really enjoyed listening to it all the same. The characters are well written and both have solid personalities.
It's heartwarming and loving.

Great Love Story!!! I can never get enough...

Would you consider the audio edition of Some Like It Wild to be better than the print version?

The audio edition of this book was great. I love the humor that was part of this love story. I forget about writing reviews and then it's too late and I can never remember the story to write a good, honest review but this time I feel this story deserved a review before I moved onto my next book. I have not read the print edition.

What other book might you compare Some Like It Wild to and why?

Every book that I have read from M. Leighton has been right up my alley. I know when I buy one of Leighton's book it's going to be good, so I never hesitate to get one of his books as soon as they come out. This book was more than worth the money I paid. I cannot wait to purchase my next book written from Leighton. It's hard to compare this book to others because I am not good at that.

What does Amy McFadden and Nick Podehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amy McFadden puts just the right emphasis in the story at the times it's needed the most, pulling you into the story so much you feel like you are right there. And I love the voice of Nick Podehl, he has that sexy, southern voice that makes you want to eat him right up.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Wild influence on innocent fun loving prey.

Any additional comments?

I love the books, so I hope they keep coming from M. Leighton. I also love the fact that the books are at a reasonable price too. It seems that I have spent twice the money on other books and they aren't even half as good as Leighton's book.

I'M WILD ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY

Laney, the engaged Preacher's Daughter, is a good girl from a small town but when things go wrong in her life she is suddenly confronted with a man she once had a teenage crush on. Firefighter/Orchard owner Jake is a beautiful, sexy, hot, bad boy who's an adrenaline junkie, a heart-breaker and lives on the edge as can be seen by his love of all forms of Xtreme pursuits so when Laney steps onto his property he knows he's in for a sweet challenge and a few weeks of fun…. but he wants nothing more.

Laney is fed-up being good and Jake is just the person to awaken her rebellious wild side but she knows what she's risking as they share more time, thoughts and passions together and she's aware that his cocky banter, flirty ways and sexual skills make it impossible for her to pull away but underneath Jake's casual bravado is a heartbreaking story waiting to be told. However, an interfering ex fiancee, a judgemental Father and a snake all have a hand in bringing things to a head with disastrous and devastating consequences.

This well-written enjoyable story captivated me with it's loveable characters who are complete opposites of each other and yet learn to meet in the middle, an emotional plot that's tender, touching, passionate, hot, sad, funny, sexy, romantic and bitter-sweet but at the end you are rewarded with a transformed Hero who'll risk everything for the woman he loves.

Worth a credit? Well it would have been a YES but as it's under $10 I saved my credit for another, more expensive, listen.

Dawn's Review of Some Like It Wild

Ahhhhh, Laney and Jake. I loved the interaction between these two characters. They were so meant to be together and you rooted for them from the very beginning! It was a wonderful love story about love. The story and characters are well written and easy to fall in love with. Can't wait to get my hands on the next one in the series!

Really bummed!!!

I loved the first book in the series. It had a story with some depth. I couldn't wait for the the next. I put up with "Wild Child" just so I knew what was going on even though the story line was a little weak but since it was a novella I didn't think much about it. This book was a complete letdown. The story was basically non existent and I couldn't wait for the whole thing to be over. I'm so sad that this was a bust for me.

Couldn't make it past chapter 2

The narration is an insult to anybody from the south. The accent was do over exaggerated it made it impossible to listen!
