My life is Changing

I have listened in full to the audible and read in full the book. It’s words are alive. They ring in my ears with things that happen in my every day life. My heart is searching, my mind is reeling with thoughts and my soul is longing for more of mussar and it’s blessed light in my life. Thank you, Rabbi Lapin for introducing me to this boo and beautiful person, Ruchi Koval. Thank you for the newness I feel and new hope I have.

Worth every moment!

This book is incredible. It teaches the essential steps to living a happier, less stressful, and more fulfilling life. The author does as beautiful a job reading her work as she did writing it. This book is great for all ages and can be a great activity for families to read/listen, and talk about together.

Essential life tools

At 72 years old it was really amazing to find these incredible tools to make life a more pleasant place to be . I am not Jewish or and particular religion but I was happy to find out that the application of these only require belief in the human spirit .
I really am grateful you were able
Somehow put into
Words for others to understand how to resolve basic human barriers of human emotion and reactions of every day living.

Highlight of the book!

So important today, with Marxism & Atheists are killing God! The citation where Moïse is negotiating with the Engels to have the Tora for us, human beings! And the reason why we need it, why we need spirituality, is to CIVILIZE us!

Just amazing.

I am thankful that I found this book right now, as I am craving more spirituality in my life. This Jewish teaching of character development called mussar is indispensable for one’s life in the pursuit of becoming a better person. Being good takes an everyday effort and this book reminds me of what needs to be done. I am actually going to buy the hard copy and keep it in my bed side table so I can read it often to be reminded and create a muscle memory.
The book was insightful and I loved that Ruchi ( I actually know her, how cool is that?) used anecdotes and some personal examples to illustrate the stories. Also, just as an example of how often we fall of the wagon on being good, I had just read the passage of expressing kindness towards others, when Ruchi said that she was the dishwasher tyrant, and I totally saw myself in her story. I am the exact same person. My kitchen is my domain and I am terrible to anyone who trespasses it. At that moment I decided I was going to change. One week later, I was cooking and my poor husband came to get something in the refrigerator and naturally took a minute too long, or I thought so, and I was so rude to him saying that he was crowding my space. One week, that is all it took for me to forget what I had to attentively listened to.
YES, I will definitely need to read This book many time over.
