About this listen

This TAN Books edition of St. Catherine of Siena by Mary Fabyan Windeatt, features the complete original text, along with a supplemental reading section entitled “Confession It’s Fruitful Practice”.

St. Catherine of Siena:

The story for children 10 and up of St. Catherine of Siena, the young woman who brought the Pope back to Rome from France and converted thousands of people.

"Confession It’s Fruitful Practice":

This wonderful and practical little book explains clearly and thoroughly how to make a good confession but in much greater detail than covered in most catechisms. It includes an examination of conscience; contrition and its necessary qualities; the purpose of amendment and its necessary qualities; avoiding the near occasion of sin; the actual confession of sins to the priest; and the penance given by the priest.

Short and simple and straight to the point

This is not a long, in depth, super detailed book. This is short and basically goes straight into just the most important details of St Catherine. This book would be great for older children or someone who just wants to quickly learn about who this saint was. It starts with what happened to her as a child and briefs into her as an adult, and many of her encounters with Jesus and other heavenly beings. I enjoyed it and would recommend all these in this series from this author.
