Publisher's summary

The Other waits....
A modern retelling of the myth of Artemis and Orion - with a few twists!

She doesn't know she's Artemis, mythical huntress and goddess of the moon - but he does. And that's all he needs to make sure he gets his happy ending this time. Except he's expecting the Artemis he remembers. Who he gets instead is -

Noelle

With a potty mouth and a Jersey attitude, I've never been the type of girl who cries when things don't go my way. I'm no damsel in distress. Whatever life throws at me, I can handle it. No matter how rough or tough or...weird?

Because falling through a full-length mirror and ending up in a forest wearing nothing but a nightgown is definitely weird. Stabbing a giant scorpion in the eye with a stick? Yup. Weird. Discovering I'm a whiz with a bow and that I can apparently communicate with animals like some grouchy Disney princess - okay, not gonna lie. That's kind of cool.

Being told that I'm supposedly the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Artemis? Super friggin' weird. How am I supposed to believe that? Or that some gorgeous hunk of a guy insists we're meant to be together?

I mean, I might not know a lot about mythology, but wasn't Artemis some kind of virgin?

Hunter

She's back.

After all this time, after all this waiting, she's back in my reach and nothing is going to keep me from changing the way this story ends.

Not the tragedy of our shared history, or the countless times I've already died. Not the fact that her brother has proven repeatedly that he will stop at nothing to keep us separated.

Not even the undeniable truth that Artemis doesn't remember me - or even herself.

She's back. And, this time, she's mine.

A Good Start

Enjoyed this adventure. The author made it easy to fall into this Other world with Noelle. Denino did a wonderful job capturing the MC’s likeness. Looking forward to the next book.

Promising

A cutsy romantic fantasy. It flowed well throughout. Minor quirks were that the Hunter came off wimpy at times. Narrator does great with female voices, but a little work needed on the male ones... hence wimpy at times?
Some minor tweeking in my opinion and I see a great series starting.

Enjoyable retelling, can't wait for the next one

This is sort of a retelling of the story between Artemis and Orion. Though I know of Artemis, I had no clue of the relationship between the two and I was hard pressed not to look up what the myths say happen to them. I didn't want to spoil anything for Stalk the Moon.

I had this weird mix of enjoying the heck out of the story while wanting the plot to move a little faster even though there was plenty of action going on. Stalk the Moon had its lighthearted elements mixed with a bit of suspense and plenty of fantasy. I really enjoyed Noelle and Hunter, and can't wait to continue with the next book.

Narrator Kae Marie Denino is a bit of an acquired taste. The first little bit of this book I didn't think I'd be able to deal with her narration, but I settled in quite nicely once I got used to it. I honestly think she would be excellent for rom-coms and YA. Her inflections and pauses are a little ridiculous, but it seems to fit in perfectly for Noelle's character.

I think the production of the narration could be better by cleaning up the long pauses that seemed to have no rhyme or reason, and Denino could expand upon her voices for male characters. Other than that, I really enjoyed the audiobook, though I may try to read the next book in the series to see if I feel differently.

WOW Just wow!!

So I love mythology and of course I love Artemis. At first Noelle kinda got on my nerves, its part of the jersey thing I suppose so it played right into her character. But as her character develops she really grows on you! I cannot wait to see where this story goes! Hunter is pretty awesome and a great companion for Noelle despite not knowing any of their past. This was beautifully written by Jessica Lynch and Kae Marie Denino did a fantastic job with all the characters and an excellent job during the exciting scenes. She has a spectacular voice in all the characters she portrayed. This story is crazy unique and i can't wait to see where Noelle/Artemis' "story" goes! The twists in this story has you holding your breathe. I couldn't get enough! I can't wait until I read a few more stories on my list and get to the 2nd book in this! If you are into Greek mythology check this out! Great read for anyone looking for a fun story to get lost in and boy was that a crazy cliff hanger but I couldn't have loved that cliff hanger more!! Keep the goods coming or should I say Gods/Goddess'!

no spoilers

I received this book for free for a honest review. I loved the characters and their personalities. This book is very well written and held together. The narrator did not disappoint and brought the characters to life. Reccomend for older kids . cliff hanger.

Narrator styles

Enjoyed this book, more so because of the narration skill. I’ve recent discovered the joy of audible books, but a narrator can make or break things. I’ve heard Ms. Denino before and enjoy her skills
