About this listen

Air Force pilot Andromeda "Andie" Kim dreams of being chosen to join NASA so she can go to space. Instead she's stolen by savage kidnappers from a dystopian future where fertile women are needed for breeding purposes. All she wants is to escape and find a way back to her time before she's sold as broodstock and stuck in this ruined world forever.

Colonel Aloysius "Mace" Theron of the Cascadian Alliance is a battlefield commander, not a spy. But after 20 years of service, he's chosen for a top-secret mission: to infiltrate an organization of thieves using a time machine. He's supposed to find and destroy the machine, not fall in love with one of the captives. But Andie is as much of a fighter as he is, and he's drawn to her from the beginning. Yet if he fights too hard to protect her, his identity will be discovered, and his mission will fail, leaving criminals to terrorize the past and changing history.

Awesome book

If you love science fiction with a little romance and a ton of adventure, you need to read this book. The author keeps you excited and on your toes throughout the book. The narration was excellent. I look forward to more audio books becoming available.

will this become a series?

the story jumps right in and never stops until then end. time travel and a dystopian earth. we don't know how many years have passed and we don't know what really happened to get us to there but it doesn't really matter once the story starts. yes you might want to know but the lack doesn't effect the story. so what would happen if you met the one only to realize you are from different times. i would like to see expansions on Ming, her friend, and what the hunt for those men would be like. we need a 2nd book we need a series

Barbarian meets princess story

In this book the future is post apocalyptic. So people in the future don’t have a lot of luxuries or any to be truthful. They do however have a travel machine. Well, this and the fact that they seem to have reproductive issues prompt some of the people in the future to go back in time to kidnap women for breeding purposes. I would much prefer future men and society to be more advanced and more sophisticated. But this is personal preference. If you like plots where heroine falls in love with her barbarian kidnapper this book is for you!

Unsatisfying ending

The story as a whole was interesting but the ending left me very unsatisfied. For all the effort I put into finishing this book, a better ending would have been more fulfilling.

Weak HEA

Would've given more stars if the HEA was more definite, but I should've known that given what the other reviewers said. Great narration though.

Female perspective is a bit different ...

I liked the story but the narrator was a bit hard to get used to when she orated a male voice. I liked it, was not too bad.

Excellent Story

This story pulls you in from the beginning and keeps moving. The ending was predictable but it didn't diminish the journey. I wish there was a way to build on this story but with different characters.

The idea of time travel

The narrator was good and enjoy her telling the story. The story line was cute and an original idea. It flowed well and listening was easy.
