It was different then the one about the weird shaman/dragon but somehow it reminded me off him cause of his damn stubbornness.

Now that I said that it really does a good job of making its own world of the events. Really started getting into a third in anyway worth a listen for sure.

This book gets 5/5 from me. Narration was on point, the story was both exciting and suspenseful. Overall this was a great experience. Onwards to book 2!

Absolute epic, very good tempo and use of vocabulary, it's just a pity that narrator is dragging it down with his speech manifestation.

Narrator ruins this epic with squelching, audible breathing and illogical pauses...

I wish I listened to this book way sooner but the cover kinda kept me away but love smart characters

First off I’d like to say I enjoyed the book it was enjoyable, but what really got me was the audio. I found myself cringing to the swallowing or almost gulping and different mouth sound the reader would make and at times even smacking noises. I studied audio engineering and have recorded a little bit of vocals myself condenser mics pick up a lot of extra annoying sounds I mean everything, however it is so easy to edit this out in the mixing stage. And there are techniques the reader can do to minimize these sounds like using pop filters and pulling back your head to swallow. Honestly it drove me crazy I hate lip smacking, and gulping noises. I found it hard to get through the story.

I mostly have a problem with the mix of the vocals

At first I was kind of bored with the story. But then I got interesting. My favorite part was when the gamer MC found out that he was gonna be a father even though here that left his house in five years. Now I want to see where the story goes will he and his love survive.
