WOW

Stealing Jenny
: Ellen Gable

This well paced kidnapping mystery has decent language and seems to be faith based. It hooked me in early and I wasn't happy when I had to turn it off to go grocery shopping. I will look for more from this author.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. I enjoyed Lisa Reichert's voicing of this book.

Wonderful heartwarming story!

This was a wonderful heartwarming story. There was also some suspense. I found this book hard to put down wanting to find out what happened next.

There were some really good lessons in this story. Lots about marriage and forgiveness.
The Children were great. I would happily spend more time with this family.
I also like the fact that although the characters were Christian, they made mistakes, but God was evident in their lives.

I felt there was one loose end however, that i felt could have maybe been developed more. That was the relationship between Tom’s mother and Jenny. I felt the relationship was touched on, but nothing was resolved really. I mean to say, we weren’t really told, whether or not Tom’s mother had a change of heart after the events in the story?
Apart from that, I really enjoyed the story and would highly recommend this book.
The narration was very good. I felt like it was a bit stilted at first, but, as the book went on, it ended up being great. ,

A Realistic Story

I listened to the audiobook of Stealing Jenny and the narrator was wonderful! She had those voices just right. The story was realistic and kept me on the edge of my seat. I had no idea if it had a happy ending or not because this was my first book by this author. A deranged lady trying to steal Jenny to get her baby.
The family was Catholic and prayed to God, Mary and Joseph. I don’t pray in this way but undoubtedly the author does. So if that bothers you, you might not want to read or listen to this book because they pray several times. I overlooked that because I know what I believe and everyone doesn’t believe like I do. One more thing, there were mild curse words that I don’t like and the book didn’t have a warning on language.
The story was wonderful and kept me guessing what in the world was going to happen next. The characters were complex and they had a back story to go along with their “now” life.
If you like a good suspense story and one that is so realistic you will enjoy this one.
