Publisher's summary

I had the perfect friends, the perfect family. The perfect everything. We were a greeting card you wanted to frame.

And then he showed up on our doorstep, looking like the aftermath of a rock concert, claiming to be my adopted brother’s half-brother. Sounds like trouble, right? He looked like trouble. Hell, his name defined trouble.

Ruffian had bad news and heartbreak written all over him. But knowing he would break my heart didn’t stop me from falling.

JUST as good as swimming in stars

I LOVED swimming in stars so I honestly didn’t think this one would live up to it. But I was so wrong. I love that we are in the same world with the same people just a different point of view. 5 stars all around, it was so good

Stealing the Stars

I loved the 1st book in this series so I had to go buy this one. I adore this family, they are the family we all long to have and to be. I'm not a huge fan of Ruffian and the narrator for Ruffian was difficult for me because of the way he whispered and heavily breathed throughout the book. Teddies deserved better. Austin is still fabulous! The book is good the male narrator was a struggle and the female narrator was really good.

I love this Author and the Narrators!!

Debra did it again! I love how she ties in some of the other characters from her other books ( Mercy, Havoc, and Locke, who happen to be my favorite). This story is sweet and spicy!

Great Read

Stealing the Stars (Drowning in Stars #2) was a good read by Debra Anastasia. Teddi had the perfect friends and family. Then Ruffian showed up on our doorstep, claiming to be my adopted brother’s half-brother. He looked like trouble. But she still fell for him. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

JUST WOW!

What an amazing book! I love Debra's writing, so deep, so emotionally and beautifully said.
Benjamin is just amazing and Rose, so good. They truly make Debra's words come to life in a way that is felt way after it is over. So worth the listen!

Debra Anastasia Always Amazing

The storyline is as amazing as the characters it is written for. It took me a few chapters to get in to this book and I am glad I never gave up on it. Teddy and Ruffian different sides of the same coin. They both try to do what is best for the people they care about, for Teddy it is strangers that she has learned are ill and she works at making wishes come true and Ruffian who was homeless for most of his life and wanting to help his community. They both go about doing the same thing basically but not in the same way. I also like that Mercy and Havoc had a portion in the storyline. Great book!

Oh Ruffian...

Ruffian has lived an unconventional life. He and his mother have lived on the streets, in the woods, free of restraints of conformity. When his mother passes away, he wants to do something epic to honor her memory. To achieve that, he needs a cover. So, he decides to reach out to his “family” and ends up finding out his half-brother Gaze. Gaze and his adopted family take him in with open arms. They’ll be the perfect cover for his intentions: rob a bank and save his community in the woods. A small wrench is thrown in his plan: Teddi Burathon, his brother’s adopted sister. She’s everything he’s not. His heart was dead, or so he thought - until she makes it beat again.
Although this is definitely a standalone, you’ll enjoy it much more if you read the previous book in the series because Gaze, Pixie and the Burathons are a major part of this story.
I loved Teddi from book 1. She’s a tiny hurricane of goodness and she’s just what the universe had to put in Ruffian’s path. Their story is angsty, but more so in the sense that you spend the whole time praying that Ruffian will not go on with his plan.
I’m not getting into more details so as to not spoil anything, but I was thrilled to see Nix, Animal and Lock show up in this story! I loved how everything came together in the end! Go Teddi!
Narration: Rose Dioro and Benjamin Charles being amazing as expected! All the stars!
