Another great Davenport book

What made the experience of listening to Sudden Prey the most enjoyable?

The way John Sanford brought all the characters together and with Jay O. Sanders reading the book, it was difficult for me to pause it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sloan was my favorite character. He is always helping Lucas figure out the puzzle and has a way to get others to open up when he talks to them, usually getting vital information for Lucas to act on.

What about Jay O. Sanders’s performance did you like?

The way he reads the book brought me right into each scene and I was able to go with each sudden twist the book brought.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, there was a moment that moved me, It was when Sara went out the window, barefooted, crept along the edge to the fire escape only to find out that it was stuck. Then she had slide back along the ledge, back to the room, knowing that she was so close to escaping but was not able to accomplish it.

Too Short for the price.

only 3 chapters. Feels like there should have been more. Was this the whole book or did I order the wrong thing?

Who Cares if it’s Abridged

I like a good story whether it’s short or long but this didn’t feel abridged.

Suspenseful.

I used to really like the Prey series but I must be changing in my old age. It's a little too much violence for me now. But the story is good as usual from John Sanford. I've always liked Weather & Lucas. All the other Prey books I've listened to have been read by Richard Ferrone whom I like a lot, but what a pleasant surprise when I saw that this one is read by Jay O. Sanders, one of my very favorite narrators!
I guess what I also disliked was it was confusing at times. There are too many names! And in a fast moving story I find it difficult to keep them straight, but that's me, not the author or the narrator. So get the book & enjoy!

Sudden Prey abr.

As a fan of John Sanford. I am not a fan of abridged stories so this left me wanting. As well as I love Richard Ferone as narrator and this guy didn't cut it.

The fact that this is abridged and that wasn’t made clear to me

I strongly dislike abridged books. Also the narrator is not the usual guy who does the Prey series books. This guy isn’t even in the same league as
