Publisher's summary

From the best selling author of Summer Unplugged, comes a new series set in the same world. Becca's senior year of high school is approaching and she's tired of being the dorky best friend. Determined to reinvent herself with help from Bayleigh, she plans to spend the summer breaking out of her shell. When Bayleigh gets grounded and sent away for three months, Becca's plans come crashing down before they've even started.

Now Becca is alone and can't even talk to Bayleigh on the phone. Not wanting to miss out on the summer before senior year, she takes a job at the local indoor BMX track. The job is fun, her boss is laid back, and the place is packed with hot guys. One of them just might have a crush on her. This may be a summer without her best friend, but it doesn't mean she'll have to spend the summer alone.

Part 1 of a 4 part novella series.

Enjoyed it

Wasn’t a fan of the narrator. She was a little too slow for me so I sped it up- which made it sound dumb but better than being irritated by her speed and not finishing at all. The story was cute- I’ll try book 2

Young Love

I received this audiobook free at my request and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I can’t believe I’m the first to review this title!

I really enjoyed Summer Alone. This book reminded me a lot of what it was like falling in love for the very first time, the teenage feelings, and insecurities. I thought that the story was very sweet and well written. It was interesting for me to get that experience of what a budding romance is like for a girl, especially as a parent of a soon to be high school freshman girl.

Jessica Duncan has the perfect voice for narrating this. Her inflections help add to the innocence and sweetness of Becca.

I hope to check out the rest of this series, and I highly recommend this first chapter!

Poor Narrator

Narrator read slow and dragged our her words. Annoying to listen to and tapped out after about 5 minutes.
