Publisher's summary

Bounty hunters. A dying species. Upgrades required.

Kyle and the crew have one chance to win the war on Tolsa. They are constantly moving between battlefields and helping the rebels in a desperate bid to find parts that they need, only ever staying a single step ahead of Motaki. One slip-up, and Kyle's team will be surrounded on all sides.

With no respawn facilities - and trapped by bounty hunters - Kyle and his crew are torn between their own safety and doing the right thing. Cure a dying species, or snatch the finest mech they've ever seen. Dejected and adrift, the search for upgrades and weaponry helps the goals of the crew align. That's for the best, since Kyle will need to pull out every skill he has in the hope that they can create a future for themselves. No matter what they choose to do during the rebellion, they'll need to make a deal with the M-Wolf leader.

With blood on his hands and a full cargo hold, Kyle can only hope that they can leave Tolsa with a clear conscience.

Summer Friction is audiobook three of the four-book Space Seasons series, a LitRPG sci-fi space opera set on another world with mechs, spaceships, levels, and...well…pure evil.

starts at 120 and doesn't really slow down till a hour after you finish it ..
friggin awesome sequel, only advice/complaint is that you should listen to the last 2 chapters of the book 2 before starting so you are up to date...

Neil is kinda like a fungus....

A Rip-Roaring litRPG adventure!

Dawn Chapman and Neil Hellegers have teamed up to tell us another Rip-Roaring, litRPG adventure! This is the perfect penultimate book in this 4 book story ARC. And I loved every minute of it!
As with many 4 book story ARC's far too often I find that the 3rd book is only a bridge, using lots of words just to get you to the other side... But, not so with this book! Summer Friction is full of surprises, action and big reveals. We lose some friends, and it hurts, we also gain some of the most unlikely allies too! And still Kyle (the main character) doesn't lose sight of the goal, making Summer Friction my favorite in the series... so far! Thank you, Dawn Chapman!
Ya'll need to get this series and get caught up quick! The final book was recently released soooooooo you'll be able to charge all the way through to the end!

Captivating continuation of the story!

Great story and narration!

Kyle and friends are back, and it is one hectic universe out there! Dogged by a notorious mercenary coalition bent on revenge and cashing in on an outrageous bounty, will our band of intrepid heroes be able to make it across space in time to help his friends? What could possibly go wrong?

Neil knocks the narration out of the park in this one!

If you liked the story so far, you won't be disappointed by this continuation!

I enjoyed the ride, and can't wait for the next book to come out!

great edition to the series

being the third book of the series it kept me on pins and neddles. It had great moments and sad happenings. Great highs and and big falls. Felt like i was on an emotional roller-coaster. Can't help myself in getting the final book to see how it ends. rooting for Kyle to finish his mission.

MC has LGBT Issues in a teen young adult book!

Sorry if the book was for adults I would not say anything about the LGBT stuff. Please leave kids alone and let them learn from their families or from a respectable adult instead of an author who thinks they know better for someone's child. I forgot why I was putting off this series. I bought it and low and behold I remembered what a wimp the MC is. Not only a wimp but an arrogant wimp who believes they have the answer for everything and can just cruise through anything and then cry and talk about their emotional struggles for their failures that he forgets rather quickly then does again. Knows he can be brought back to life in another body so he treats his friend Zerob with reckless abandon and jumps into a known trap and Zerob dies. He barely reflects on the fact and the fact that he just killed the father of Faith's child. The MC is such a piece of crap but is treated with reverence as to be beyond belief. I bought this book and I'll take it on the chin this time. Dawn, if you get to this portion of my review, I want you to know that I liked how the story went together (except the LGBT) but your MC was to unreal for me. Definitely not the hero type as he tries to save the whole human race and was such a piece of crap to his friends while he cried at every turn. Not sure how many men can put up with that. Maybe you ladies can but it causes a gagging reflex as far as I'm concerned.
