A Deal from Heaven

Living in New York City, Penelope Trudeau has seen a lot of weird stuff - but nothing like the insane redhead who accosts her with a wild proposition. Penelope will get a million dollars if she has a baby with the strange woman's brother. With her mother dying from a mysterious disease, Penelope can use the money. Yet the terrified waitress is adamant that her womb and eggs are not for sale…until she meets her intended mate. He's impressively built, gorgeous, and red-hot, literally. He's a freaking immortal Sun God.

For thousands of years, Kinich (Nick to his friends) didn't believe in fraternizing with humans, so procreating with them is definitely a no-no. But after one sizzling encounter with the beautiful, passionate Penelope, Nick begins to think he was wrong…until he realizes meeting Penelope was just another one of his crazy sister's schemes at manipulation. But now that he has Penelope in his life, he can't let her go. Especially because doing so means throwing her into the hands of his dangerous enemies.

Any additional comments?

If I would I would give Mimi more stars.
Her new book is as usual filled with great humor, action and the right amount of man things and girly parts. This book is like all of the accidentally yours series a must.
I couldn't put the book away until I was done, geez, I love her style though I could murder her for the cliffhanger. Hope we,the fans, don't have to wait too long.

Good story, but seriously? To be Cont...

How about a book with 414 pages on kindle, 11 hours 28 minutes on audible and ends with TO BE CONTINUED......

Pretty disappointing I say. I have not even started the 4th book I am so aggravated. Lets just say that if I had to wait the 9-12 months for the next book to be released this review would be a bit more scathing. Luckily I just started this series and 5 of the books are available. However I am not even sure the 5 book is the last so who knows!
I think this story could have been finished without the stupid TO BE CONTINUED....
I would have been more inclined to immediately buy it. But I am not. On to something else then I may come back to finish this series.

Okay now that I am done venting, I thought the story was good. There were more of the Gods involved, the story line and plot was good. The chemistry between Penelope and Kinich is good, although his tunnel vision on relationships is a bit annoying. The sex scenes are well written, I love Cimil, Goddess of the Underworld. There is a lot of dialogue, ( I like a lot of dialogue) unfortunately this book is also written in the first person so again we get the blah blah blah thoughts of Penelope throughout the story. A lot of the characters from the previous books are present in this book, I like that.

As for the narrator, I have to say she has gotten so much better since the first book, All the characters have their own distinct voice, the men sound like men, she puts a lot of emotion in where it is needed and her reading voice is good.

I NEED NEED NEED BOOK 4 NOW!!

He was a God so what did he need from a mere Mortal? Nothing.... well that's what drool-worthy Sun God Kinich thought but fate and his loving, but slightly mad Sister, had other plans. The offer of $1 million to be a Surrogate was so tempting to Penelope who's got a very sick Mother and draining finances so she meets Kinich to discuss things but a drugged drink and a night of sex leaves them both with much more than regrets over ever opening the now empty can of worms.

It's a charming, funny, entertaining, sexy, emotional listen as two loveable characters find themselves unwilling pawns in an action-packed supernatural War game that has unexpected, devastating twists and heartbreaking consequences. The supernatural world-building descriptions and characters are very well written and the plight that Penelope finds herself in is intense as she unwillingly becomes the Leader of 14 weird Gods. Witty one-liners, funny internal dialogue, a doomed tragic love affair, hot sex, an Apocalypse and a cast of fantastical characters makes this an essential non-stop listen.

Worth a credit? YES but with missing characters, a crisis, the end of the world still looming and a jaw dropping Wh..Wh..WHAT? of a cliffhanger this is far from a nicely wrapped-up HEA ending which has left me simply DESPERATE for the next book.

AWFUL accents!

If you can deal with appalling accents - some clearly meant to be English or Scottish and missing the mark by a mile (wrong stress, poor pronunciation) - this story is as amusing as the previous two in the series.
