Don't ask Claire Keyes. The 28-year-old piano prodigy has never had a regular boyfriend, much less a real romance. Her music career has left little room for friends or family - which is just part of the reason she hasn't seen the family bakery or her two sisters in years.
But now Nicole is sick, and Jesse is AWOL. Despite the fact that Claire can't boil water, she's determined to play caretaker. Connecting with her sisters tops her to-do list...along with falling in love, or at least in lust, for the first time.
Ruggedly sexy Wyatt just might fit the bill. Although he keeps saying that he and Claire come from entirely different worlds, he lights up hotter than a bakery oven whenever Claire is near. If this keeps up, she just might sweet-talk him into her bed...and her life.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Not sure I'd recommend this book. I found the first 1/3 of the book to be one dimensional - Claire was all good/innocent, Nicole was horrible and Wyatt was predictable. Once the book moved on, though, everyone gained some other facets. I particularly liked Claire's joy for all of life's little details. Given that the story takes place in Seattle, I was distracted by the voice artist's NY/NJ accents; I'm from the south and have lived on the west coast so don't know which they were but can tell you people don't talk like that in Seattle. I was also distracted by her reading of Wyatt's character - it didn't help with the visualization. He came across a little schmucky to me. However, the book was engaging - I wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't. I'd therefore recommend it conditionally. (To compare to your reading interests, I like a lot of Nora Roberts' recent work, Lisa Kleypas' contemporary, Jill Shalvis and Linda Howard.)Also, I couldn't help but feel that the story was from several decades ago, despite the references to modern technology. I think it was the style at the beginning, where characters were either good or bad, but nothing in between.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Claire's eventual blossoming made her very likable - she has such joy.Would you be willing to try another one of Therese Plummer’s performances?
Maybe, not going to seek her work out.If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Probably not - it just didn't grab me enough.Decent but dated
